John Brady fired at LSU

LSU doesn't have any depth and Tennessee will run them out of the building. Can anyone remind me of what happened with Brady and Dane Bradshaw? I can't remember the details.

It was more between Pearl & Brady...Dane was simply a player. It was two years ago at their place when they beat us. Toward the end of the game the LSU students were chanting Dane's name (and probably some derogatory statements) Pearl walked Dane to the scorer's table and held his hand up like a winning boxer.

After the game Brady (supposedly off the record) said Pearl should show some class and act like he had been there before...

Bruce needs to win this game, so he can even his head-to-head record against Brady to 2-2.

It's rather weird that of all the coaches he's faced in the SEC, he's fared the worst against Brady.

No doubt...I think it's basically the slow down game as well as the size that Brady's teams have had...I have no fear that it is a coaching thing...

Floyd is living the life. He'd be an idiot to leave SC and he isn't an idiot.

No He has a Top recruiting class coming in next year, and he is building a good recruiting class for 2009 as well.

Hes trying to bring USC in competition with UCLA

Here a coach to look at for LSU:

Thanks, it was mentioned on the radio this morning but they only said the incident involving Bradshaw without giving any details. I remember it all now.

That, and the fact that Ted Valentine called the last UT-LSU meeting, in the 2007 SEC Tourney. :banghead2:

Our guys were absolutely abused by LSU down low and Valentine was calling ticky-tack fouls against us. I was at that game. It was ugly.

Rumor has it that Pearl paid LSU a large amount of money to let him keep coaching till the Tennessee game.

I predict that LSU will go after Travis Ford of U Mass and Anthony Grant at VCU---both very good coaches.

Since I extended the courtesy to South Carolina, I'll also save LSU the time and expense of a search firm:
1. Anthony Grant
2. Josh Paster
3. Bob Marlin
4. Mike McConathy
5. Larry Eustachy

Wildcard: Nolan Richardson

We're not all as good with names as you Hat - can you tell us what each of their positions are currently? I know a few but not all.

Sure:
1. Head Coach VCU.
2. Assistant Coach at Arizona and son of the most powerful AAU coach in Houston.
3. Head Coach Sam Houston State.
4. Head Coach Northwestern State.
5. Head Coach Southern Mississippi

Wildcard: Head Coach Mexican National Team.

Although I like Grant,I think he'll take the South Carolina job before hes takes the LSU job.

Josh Paster isnt even liked at Arizona, they feel hes to blame for their big men not being as good as they once were.

Yeah I'd take Bob Marlin
McConathy is 53 and Eustachy hasnt coached since January 9th though and his SoMiss teams havent gone to any postseason tournament yet.His Iowa State teams were solid but they werent led by players he recruited.

What about Wojo or Chris Collins?

1. Yeah, the fact that Jordan Hill is the most improved player PAC 10 shows what an awful job Josh is doing.
2. Eustachy is back and has been for sometime.
3. Neither of the Duke guys will be considered at LSU, nor do I think they would be interested.

1.True,Hill is good but they havent had great post play over the previous 2 seasons

2.SoMiss is 12-10

3.Yeah your right with that too.

We need more of Nolan Richardson's outburst in the SEC. I could imagine his 40 minutes of hell against Pearl's.

You said Eustachy hadn't coached since January 9th, which was patently inaccurate.

Sucks... Brady backed out I assume? Don't blame him, but I wish we could have sent him out the Bruce Pearl way.

Is the LSU job all that great a job:
Still, while women's basketball game attendance has grown to more than 6,000 fans per game, men's basketball is averaging just 8,240 this year, Bertman said. Season-ticket sales remained at about 7,000 even after the trip to the Final Four. (Source - ESPN)
