John Adams: why we shouldn’t schedule Oklahoma in 2020

I make a motion that any poster who links to JA's tripe be put on suspension of posting priveleges for a time not less than 30days. Can I get a second?

You want a second? How about the second president... John Adams!

Bwaaahahaha... ha...

Okay, that wasn’t funny.

UT scheduling to play Oklahoma makes about as much sense as that guy who divorced Kurt Cobain’s daughter getting his prized MTV unplugged guitar. Aaaand BOOM! Topic reference!!

Oh by the way? Pruitt will be blowing the doors off in 2020. He will still be winning beating Georgia, Florida, and Oklahoma. By then, he may be beating those elephants into the ground. He is a winner John Adams, not a loser. The sooner you find out, you will change your bashing of Pruitt.🤭😎🤬

Yea going 7-5

With all due respect to the University of Texas El Paso you get better playing top ten teams. You gain attention beating Oklahoma, guts cred for scheduling them.

John Adams is such a loser.

And I don't mean that in the Valley Girl, generic insult use of the word. I mean it quite literally: he has a losing mentality, and a loser's penchant for shying away from challenges.

Thank the heavens that he has no input on this program's direction.

I disagree.

He is often very realistic which Vol fans do not want to hear.

That being said, I don't always think he is right.

Or we could stop posting all his articles here and stop reading them? Then we wouldnt have to wait for him to retire because his articl6es would be irrelevent?

Just curious, how will ut sports improve when a journalist retires?

Other programs cannot negative recruit against us by saying, Come here and you don't have to look at John Adams. Everyone in the room becomes smarter because he leaves. Maybe even Orange Defense.

Remember how Curt Gowdy made baseball games better by making the calls? Or Pat Summerall and John Madden made boring football games better? John Adams no longer writing his tripe will have that kind of impact.

That satisfy your curiosity?

Seriously, John Adams? Get real.:thud:

Why shouldn't John Adams retire and move away from the State of Tennessee? We have put up with his Horseshat for over 30 years and this should come to an end. Enough is enough. His body of "work" is a prime example of journalistic malpractice. Maybe someone should post a poll and start a petition to let the fan base express their thoughts .

That would get him a lifetime extension. His bosses love this.

You post and start it, and all of my multiple personalities will express their thoughts and sign it.

UT should be scheduling hard teams every year. It's the only way to know if you have a real head coach and real football program.

Sink or swim. I want to know as soon as possible if we are winners again or just UCF wannabes or worse, Butch Jones wannabes.

John Adams? Wouldn't he be pushing 300 years old by now?

Reads article . . .

We shouldn't. There is no good that can come from it, the SEC schedule is hard enough. We need to schedule 4 cupcakes every year. The traditionalists who like to beat their chest about playing great opponents are delusional. You cannot win a national championship playing 10-12 difficult games a year I don't care how much talent you have. It makes no sense scheduling a tough OOC opponent and does UT no favors.

One of the dumbest things I have ever read in my life and you have a penchant for delivering each and every time.

You’re on some higher plane of intellect, I guess. And you must not read much outside of doctoral dissertations.

Gotta love it when fans talk about the game passing by a coach without realizing themselves that the national championship nonsense completely perverted the game - zero in the loss column is all that matters - even a loss against Bama or whoever doesn't cancel a non-zero in the loss column. The SEC was a little late in figuring it out, but we've adopted the model now, too - for good reason. It's no longer about good games; it's all about a zero in the loss column when the season is over.
