Gotta confess that I haven't read it yet, so I'm basing my comment on the title and Adams' previous sour works. John is not a LV fan. His critique and mission is to sell papers. If something is good, he gives a negative opinion to rile folks up. Thinks it's good for business.

And yes normally people read articles about what they like if reading for pleasure. Dan, Maria, Steve, etc., take the same facts and don't try to use them as a bludgeon. Who wastes time with negative opinions? Well, I guess I do because I read VN. Haha

I prefer "rural folk nonsense" all day over citified snide.

Go read the article again, maybe you missed where Adams did throw in some positives along with some startling observations that this team might struggle mightily this season. The stanford win is great to build off of and can give them a lot of momentum heading into sec play. Adams left the the possibility open that they can still turn this around and have a successful sec run..

Btw, how does someones looks have anything to do with all this. Throw a better analogy at me..that was a little weak

They've got the right staff,,, just needs tweaking a little.
Defined roles and measurable goals.

There are three scenarios CV:

They give me the shot and I fail.
They give me a shot and I succeed.
They don't give me a shot.

Two of these makes sense.
I have given HW many scenarios in which I could be tested.
And I can and will take the results of any of them.
If I fail, I can accept that.

But to be excused because I am too tough on the staff.
Nope.
Not a good enough reason for me to give up.

I think the Stanford game is huge because a loss in that game really is going to make it tough to make the NCAA tourney. We want have any big wins in non-conference play and that would make us have to go about 10 and 6 in conference play and I don't see that happening. We need this game hopefully we will come out and play a team game. We need to score more in the paint and we need second chance points. If we can't hold down their offensive rebounds chalk up another loss at home.

Adams is 100% correct on two fronts 1) We are worst then last year 2) Help is on the way with the 2017 class. Note: Evina last 3 game

Question. If Holly knows you and knows you post on here, does she mention or get upset by some of the things you say? I agree with you most of the time, but you have been critical of her and her choices in the past

While using this forum as a platform of introduction, I want to impress upon HW and staff that I know this game and will not accept anything less than the goals and accomplishments I would expect out of myself...While maintaining a good standing with my VN peers of postings that are informative, yet not demeaning or insulting to the staff.

it is a tough row to hoe, but I've been farming for along time.

Your incessant carping about those who criticize Coach Warlick is just as tiresome...as some of her critics.. some are drive byes but most are not.....Fact is I would put you in the vocal minority in that regard.To consider that those who have been critical of Coach Warlick are not true Vol Fans or are NEGAVOLS or whatever term you want to define them as is just not accurate ....many of these Lady Vol fans have been fans since 1977 and may have been fans longer than you have been born and what they want is success just as much as you do or more.

All who post on message boards do not have any real effect on the Lady Vol program no matter if blinded by Orange Colored glasses ,drink the Orange Koolade,fanatically positive or fanatically negative .All their and my posts do is ventilate .To think otherwise is fantasy land and peeing into the wind and not expecting to get wet.

You don't know my age, and apparently being a fan since the 1970's has made some bitter. I see them hunched over their computing machine like some Vol version of Maxine.

The need to ventilate and desire for success seem to be at odds for a group of posters. I read a great deal of incessant carping about HW that I didn't think was deserved. And when folks tried to push back, they were jumped on by a few that think they run the place.

Problem is that there are parents and families that read these posts. And sometimes the negative posts have had real world effects. I'm certain you wouldn't be so quick to vent if it were your family or friends.

Cheer up.

To believe that players, coaches, recruits and their family and friends do not read forums is the real fantasy. I am not in the minority nor are you in this belief. The negavol venting and acting out is destructive to the fan base. It is not something that we would tolerate at home with our family members so we call out those who are incessant in doing it. We all can take and offer constructive criticism of the team and coaches but some of this hog wash is intended to hurt and promote division. That rhetoric would be better written on a neutral site and not one for fans. Unfortunately, the few vocal negavols who post here believe their forum reputation is more important than anything else and they are the voice of a moral majority who believe it is okay to trash the program along with those who live in certain geographical locations who, in their opinion are culturally disadvantaged.

Some of it is as you say ....hogwash ....while much is not.I for example rarely criticize players but Holly Warlick is fair game because she has left a wide trail of bad coaching spoors in last 4 years and has been given adequate time to mop them up but has not done so .Fact is I do not believe she is capable of doing so....time will tell ....because she will at least finish out this season and probably next year.I have not posted anything about Coach Warlick for some time now because I recognize that what I or others post here will not affect her future in any way but it does help one to ventilate.
As to posts on this site affecting recruiting ,negative posts might but it did not appear to affect it for the 2017 Class .
