John Adams is the worst EXCUSE for a sports journalist that I have ever experienced! The man has been deeply criticizing Tennessee sports programs; coaches; fan support (the Schiano incident); and administration -- FOREVER!!! How he remains a "home-town" reporter with the Knoxville News Sentinel is beyond me...... Maybe he should get a job with ESPN (another Tennessee "lover"); or go someplace where they hate Tennessee, anyway - like Florida or Alabama. But, ever since I was a student from 1997 until NOW I don't think that I can ever remember him saying anything positive about the UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE! Respect is a mutual thing. -- And since he continues to trash my school, I will continue to trash HIM! --- He is a CLASSIC UNWANTED JERK!!!!!!!

Adams is a disgrace to his profession. Just ignore him and lower your blood pressure.

Anybody that has been a long time follower of UT sports knows that Adams is complete jerk and has always been critical of UT even in the 80’s and 90’s he would always put any bad spin he could on UT, always looking for a way to tear them down. Nothing but a bad joke to call him a true Journalist, more like a hack always trying to put UT in a bad light the best he could. He is classless and arrogant in my opinion. GBO

I’ve always liked Adams and his take on Tennessee athletics especially football. He always shoot straight.

I guess this explains his body of work, accuracy with a syringe could explain his consistency. He was just ahead of the curve in the decline of readership of the paper.

His name is Bruno. He is a 2-year-old Boerboel Mastiff. My wife has spoiled him rotten. He thinks he is a lap dog. Which would be fine if he didn't weigh 185 lbs. SMH

I can’t for the life of me understand why that article upset you so much. It has very little substance and isn’t directed at anyone in particular, other than references to Pruitt. I agree Adams is sometimes a buffoon but this article is so mundane I don’t see the reason to get so bothered by it.

Have you not read this board much? They get up in arms if the wind changes direction in the middle of a game because they think the climate has a vendetta against the Vols.
