Joey one play away from being an average qb today

Joey was absolute nails in this game. That game tying drive was Clausen-esque.
3 Monstrous Plays in that drive ...

#1 4th & 4 to Brazzel in traffic for the 1st down. Game prob over if we don't convert.

#2 Scrambling out of pocket by blitz and avoided sack which makes a 3rd &20, only to hit MM for a 1dt down across the field

#3 3rd and 7 strike to Staley 4 yards short of the 1st dn, but Staley battles and drags 2 tacklers 5 yards for the 1st and goal.

... All 3 were big plays, especially #2. Nico make a maximum of 1 of those if given the chance. What an upgrade!

The head to heads should not count as two losses I hate that rule . Especially Georgia being lucky to win this year. We take care of business we will be good to go but that said Joey one play from being just another average Bol qb today.

Been a while since I've been back to TN. Did they legalize weed? Cause you've been smokin the good stuff.

He was also a couple of plays from having a monster day. The bad opi on Brazzel, the dropped passes by Stacy and the long bomb to Matthews. If he would have gotten the one to Brazzell and Matthews he would have had 2 more TDs and we would have won going away.

The INTs hit the intended target in the hands.
This is true and cannot be understated. Receivers have to make those catches. I’m a little surprised we aren’t using a couple of other TEs other than Kitselman. Thought Ethan Davis should be getting more reps and Dorselaer, the freshman out of Texas. Will not be surprised to see Davis hit the portal. Don’t know what the issue is there, though. I think Dorselaer is going to be a stud.

We are one quarterback away, whom shall remain nameless and is no longer here, from being completely irrelevant.

Davis was on Injury List and out for the Ark game.....

P.S.- He's All Vol..IMHO he will finish his eligibility at UT...

And the INTs weren't even on him if we are being honest
I've always hated that stat. There are INT's that are on the QB. And there are INT's that are on the receiver. And there are INT's where a D lineman or rusher make a great play, get a tip just enough for another D player to get the INT. But, they all go against the QB.

Dobbs never played for Huepel. Remember before joining Tennessee, Hooker wasn't better than Dobbs at Va-Tech. Also look at how Hooker has performed in the NFL compared to Dobbs.

If Dobbs played for Huepel he would have been a back to back heisman winner.
And you would have got that prediction and his HOF career in your desk drawer laminated and in a binder. But, here we are.

And he was two plays (69 yard dropped TD pass to Mathews, and 59 yard TD offfensive PI robbery to Brazzle) away from 450+ yards, three TDs passing and additional running. Which would have been considered one of the best QB road performances in UT history.
You forgot to add the two INT's were catchable balls. If Brazzell can catch that ball for the 4th down conversion on the game tying drive at the end of the game, then Kitselman can (and I think will in the future) make those two catches. Football is a crazy game. We were at once a hand full of plays from losing, and a hand full away from winning by 2-3 TDs.
