Good thought! It may help to look at it more through the lens of 19 yo vs 22 yo.
I had a coach that implored us,Good thought!
But there might be an additional message being sent as well to the 2 other quarterbacks...."You need to work smarter, watch more film, get stronger, be a more commanding leader, excellent at what you are good at, etc. It might be a call to the younger QBs to up your game to a higher level.
To say it a different way, "Some (underdeveloped) practice till they get it right. Some (more developed) practice till they never get it wrong. A few (fully developed) perform and practice at a high level even when distractions and disturbances are introduced."
Back to basicsI had a coach that implored us,
“Practice does not make perfect! Perfect practice makes perfect.”
The Georgia game was a one score game with 2:30 left.Could be the difference in 10-2 and 8-4 imo. I hope that you’re right. Had Nico been more accurate with the deep ball last year we beat Florida and bama by multiple scores, definitely beat Arkansas and likely kept the Georgia game to within one score.
after the punt it's their ball on their 8 I thought we had them right where we wanted themYes. My point was great QB would have made more of a difference than just making it a one score game.
We were in it til late with barely average QB play.
Next spring will be interestingHopefully we come out kicking ass and taking names and Merk gets some meaningful series in the second half against Syracuse
I feel like Aguilar is a place keeper - both Merk and MacIntyre are more talented. But if he turns the ball over like he did at Appy State he will have a short tenure.
