I wonder how many people here who say Klatt has no idea what he’s talking about for not ranking Tennessee could name a starting offensive lineman for 5 different teams.
Probably quite a few. Knowing the names of players on other teams isn't necessarily indicative of someone who has a clue about rankings.

Can you look at that list completely objectively and say he does know what he is talking about? We know you really don’t like TN but there are quite a few teams on that list we would beat. And one of those is his supposed #1 Penn State.

Apparently, the article is serving its purpose well. More than a page of discussion already. They get in our head so easily.

A lot of people are high on Penn State, but I don’t know about number one. The SEC should have something to say about that. Penn State has arguably the best backfield in CFB, and a very manageable schedule. Oregon, at Ohio State, and Indiana. All three of those have new starting QBs.

Tennessee is capable of losing to every team on that list on a bad day. We lose to worse teams every year. We would lose at least 7 out of 10 times to Penn State. Truth be told, we were more like Indiana last year than an actual contender and have most likely gotten worse. It is silly for anyone to get mad at us being unranked on one man’s list because it is absolutely within the realm of possibility that we finish unranked.

Also it’s not Tennessee that I dislike, it’s the delusional Sunshine Pumper segment of the fanbase that I don’t like.

I don't know where UT belongs. Usually a good D gets you on the map somewhere but UT does have questions on O.

That said, Klatt is one of those guys that mystify me. How does he get anyone to pay him for his opinions or reporting on College Football? Does he appeal to some big fanbase somewhere? Does he brown nose Penn State or ND that much? He's a Basilio level goober.
