Joel Klatt - what a water boy

Nico and company did nothing but tell their side of the story. The only problem is their side of the story kept changing as the facts came out and the situation changed. It was not enough money, when they were painted as greedy and selfish, it was about not having the players he wanted around him...when his true value was evident on the open market, it was about just wanting to be back "home". When it came out that they were shopping him to Oregon, the family just goes silent. They haven't "told their story" because it's all one big lie. Klatt either knows this and is also a liar so he is empathetic to it or he is a horrible reporter that does no research. Only 2 options here.

If you can make the CFP running a high school offense, does it matter?????
If you can run the same play every time and win, does it matter how you won?

Nico and his dad lost their privilege of telling their side of the story when Big Nic called Pete Naikos a bitch on twitter. Also, ghosting your teammates and coaches the final day of Spring practice is really the only bitch move I see happening here.

I’m assuming that Joel Klatt never expects to have any interaction w/ Heupel in the future. Most people on a networks “A” broadcast team would refrain from talking like that openly about a coach or school. Something tells me Heupel is going to be well aware next time he may be around Klatt and Fox Sports. Funny how the only people sticking up for Nico are Klatt and TJ Houshmenzadeh, and they both work for Fox

You realize that guys like him have these kind of takes to intentionally drive engagement with their social media right? This is modern sports journalism. It’s sad, but it about getting attention first and foremost. And you’ve done exactly what he wanted by bringing it here so more people click on it and go to his TikTok or Twitter. Stop feeding these guys.

It was always clear that Klatt was a hack and a Big 10 water carrier who hates the SEC and UT in particular, but this kind of disrespectful claptrap qualifies him as nothing more than a classless piece of garbage.

He's not even worthy of a thread or anyone's attention other than the fact that recruits certainly see this schiit.

Agree 100% that these clowns deserve to be ignored, but this is an allegedly "respected" CFB voice saying stuff that recruits and potential transfers see.

That's really my only issue with it, as I don't do any social media aside from this forum specifically to avoid a-holes like Klatt.

Why do you always attack the guy? Jealous much?
I think the guy that’s talking smack about Tennessee is the one that should be attacked, not the guy that’s a diehard alumni.
Not jealous at all, he just doesn't know football. His videos are plain silly. There are much better Tennessee YouTubers

Fox pretty rarely gets games involving SEC teams. The Big Noon game he calls with Gus Johnson almost exclusively is between Big 10 or Big 12 teams. It's a combo of 1) catering to that audience and 2) he doesn't have anything to lose as far as access, because he doesn't cover the teams he's bashing.

It isn't a coincidence that Danny Kanell really emerged into the "will say anything to take a shot at an SEC team" guy after he got laid off by ESPN. He was never a huge SEC fan before that, but he cranked it up to 11 after he left. Klatt is kind of doing the same thing now, but with the Big 10/Big 12.
