Yeah this wouldn't have surprised me in a 12 win season but predicting a 9 or 10 win season with bama, Fl, Ga, Ky, and whichever two games we pick up from (LSU, Aub, aTm and Ole Miss) would be a Championship Run and earn us an automatic CFP selection in my mind.

I do not get upset about preseason polls...they just do not matter in the long term...playing in the SEC, we always control our own destiny so to speak. Win and the rest will take care of itself.....

That said...

My problem with us not being ranked is this:

If you were to ask say the top 50 coaches in college, and top 50 football sportswriters these questions:
.
Neutral site, Sept.1st... Tennessee or Iowa state? Wagering your home.

Neutral site, Sept 1st.. Tennessee vs. VAtech.? Wagering your home....

Etc etc up to maybe 17 or 18 rank. How many times out of 100 would these guys who know football pick us...with our 4 year average recurring ranking about 14th nationally??? Who would they pick with their homes on the line???

Right. Tennessee.

So why the dishonesty in the polls then? When they know that we have the more talented team and finally have good coaching? Thats the part that bothers me. That it isn't honest...its like a popularity test or charity polling. Not the best actual teams

Klatt is a POS!
He is one of the reporterettes that led media mob against UT during the Schiano fiasco. If I remember correctly, this turd with eyes said UT fans were low class and didn’t deserve having a coach as good as Schitzano.
Hey Klatt......Golf, Foxtrot, Yankee.
