Wow. Like I heard on the news the other day. It is Torre's fault there are six year olds in NY that have never seen the Yankees win a championship. The horror.

In a stunning turn of events, now being reported that Torre will remain the manager of the Yankees.

in another stunning tun of events, George Steinbrener finally admitted he no longer has any clue what he doing.

well, he didn't actually admit to it, but everybody pretty much has that idea.

Steinbrenner quoted as saying, "But buying and trading for all of the best hitters works on my baseball video game!"

Steinbrenner has allowed the Yankees to degenerate into an old Fanatasy League team. It's a credit to Joe Torre that he held that pitching staff together and got 97 wins.

With all this media attention on the Yankees it's about time for TO to do something stupid again. He's not the media spotlight right now. Yankee fans are the most spolied in sports.

Torre has one year left on his contract. If the Yankers don't make the post season next year, Torre will be able to leave on his own terms.

I have a feeling that Steinbrenner will spend an incredible amount of money in this offseason to bring in all the best pitchers the league has to offer...starters, middle relief, closers. With great pitching, the pressure will be off the lineup and they will produce runs, in abundance. The Yankees losing the ALDS 3-1 to the Detroit Tigers is probably the worst thing that could ever happen to Yankee haters.

I doubt it... Steinbrenner will pump even more money into the payroll, which gives us Yankee haters even more chance to make fun of them for the money they're spending on not-championships. Also, I expect Chicago and Minnesota to bounce back in the AL after dissappointing finishes to their season.
