I haven't ever seen this kids name on here, but he's listed on the roster as a RS FR LB from Lewisburg, TN.

According to an article I read, he's apparently a QB, turned safety, turned tight end. Last week he played during a goal line double tight end set in a short yardage situation and "won his one on one matchup," according to Mark Elder.

Anyway, I always like seeing tidbits like this from little known players like Stocsstill. Maybe someone to look for against Georgia.

Played quarterback at Cornersville High School in Lewisburg, Tenn.

Did not play senior year of high school due to an ACL injury

As a junior, threw for 1,552 yards on 11-of-810 with ten touchdowns

In 2010 was named to the 1A All State Team

Also played baseball at Cornersville

There's a special goal-line offensive package involving him at fullback as well. I believe it came out briefly against S. Alabama.

I don't remember seeing it, but that makes sense.

I first remember seeing him listed as a walk on QB. Then it seems that he keeps moving positions. Maybe they've found a spot where he can be a contributor. I hope so. I love seeing walk ons do well.

Here's an article talking about it. Good read.

Marshall County Tribune: College Sports: Stocstill wears orange (10/04/13)

Although the Vols don't have a true fullback on the roster, Stocstill has also received some first-team reps at the fullback position prior to the South Alabama game and was able to get in on short yard situations as fullback during Saturday's win against South Alabama. Stocstill was willing to answer some questions about his experience at the University of Tennessee.

Cornersville is a tiny school in CORNERSVILLE, TN, not Lewisburg. It's where my parents went and got together and you know, made me....

Anyways, 75% of my family goes/went there. Right now I have a cousin who currently attends the school who told me before the season about this guy. I have been looking for him each game, but he rarely sees any PT. However, he is a legend in Cornersville. Hope he makes it one day. GBO

Sorry, I was just going by the UT roster, which said Lewisburg. :)

Sounds like his ACL recovery was pretty remarkable.

I'm sheltered, apparently. :)

Guess you've been living under a Freaking rock or something. You need to get out more! What's life like, you know, not knowing stuff like where the bustling town (pop. 200-ish) of Cornersville, TN is? How can you even claim to have lived at all, really? There's more to life, you know, than knowing 99.9% of the places in TN

MTSU head coach IIRC.

Yep. Different spelling, though. Interestingly enough, Coach Stock's son Brent, a DT QB, was originally recruited to Cincinatti by TT after Coach Jones left to come to UT. After Gunner Kiel lost the QB battle at Notre Dame and transferred to Cincy, Brent apparently saw the writing on the wall and decided to come home and play for his old man. Quite the pickup for MTSU, IMO. Kid's a baller and a legitimate talent.

Indeed! Travelers need allocate no less than 15 full minutes if they hope to see it all.
You can expect to see such exciting attractions like:
-corn fields
-tobacco patches
-a redlight
-a Dollar General store (new in 2010)
-a BP

-and the most famous monument: a railroad underpass with the words "I pray for the magic rat" spraypainted on the entrance (this graffiti is known by all in Cornersville, though nobody seems to know its origin or meaning. My parents tell me it has been there since before they attended the school in the early 80's!)

Man, never thought I'd see the day where someone from Cornersville was on the field in Neyland. Im pretty sure people where joking about starting Stocstill when we didnt know who are QB was. Cool to see him get a shot. As small as it is Im pretty sure Cornersville also has another kid I believe that has committed to play baseball at Mississippi State out of Juco. Left handed kid, Laster I think.

Serious question... what does 11-of-810 mean? Thats a crazy stat. So his completion percentage was terrible... yet he threw for 10 touchdowns so 10 out of 11 completions were TDs.
