there is somthing 2 this guys....muschamp to tn would be huge thats why. just try to think of a southern coach orgeron that is a good X and O coach.

The coach in waiting at Texas and the possible replacement for Richt when he gets canned. Great choice, why don't hammy just throw a bunch of names in a hat and draw one out.

Muschamp is getting courted hard core. He didn't have to be interviewed this go around...he was probably already interviewed a year ago. I don't like it...but it is what it is, I guess.

He is the coach in waiting at Texas. They just finished 2nd. He is a high energy guy that recruits hard and he is the hot flavor of the month. We get him and we will be back in with most of the recruits. Cal or Cut and we are screwed.

By Cal do you mean Troy Calhoun?

I'm just not sold on Muschamp as a HC. I couldn't believe Texas named him as head coach in waiting. I'll line up and wish him best if he accepts, but I just don't see it.

Bc/ this way we can keep hiring coaches who don't really want to be at Tennessee!!~~~ For the love of God, Mike Hamilton, please hire a TN guy, or at least someone with ties to the state of tN.......:crazy:

You can apparently scratch all the Will Muschamp rumors, the ones that had the Texas defensive coordinator and head coach designate in either Dallas or Knoxville interviewing for the Tennessee job.

Muschamp clarified his intentions Wednesday night.

"I"m happy at Texas and plan to be here for a long time," Muschamp said through a Texas football spokesman.

He added that he has not interviewed for any other jobs nor does he have intention to do so.

While Muschamp did not address any specific rumors or schools, his name has surfaced most recently at Tennessee after Lane Kiffin was hired at Southern California.
