He said is a GREAT recruiter and highly intelligent. Wants to see the rest of the staff, but seemed positive.

Really??

I didn't really get that from him...I heard what he was saying, but IMO he was reporting his qualities, not necesarily endorsing him as a good HC!!

Mindless reaction for many. I think people really forget the difficult bind Lame left us in. I don't care who your AD is. The fact is, it is three weeks before national signing day and many coaches would not pull a Lame. The timing on Lame's departure could not have been worse.

Regardless of who you hire, whether it be dooley, Lovie, Sumlin, Whittingham, Cutcliffe, no matter who, there will always be detractors, criticisms, and irrationality. No matter what.

If you hire a NFL, there would be less to critize! Not messing with another school`s recruiting class.....if we even care about that now.....

Everyone who not a UT Rantard or Shock Jock, but actually knows the sport, will tell you UT upgraded coaches with Dooley.

I am not a coach but i know and understand the game as well as anyone who isn't involved in football as a profession. At this point I am not sold on the guy, there are too many questions, can the guy recruit nationally on the level that is required at UT among other things. I have seen many coaches who did well at mid majors go to a larger school in a tougher conference and be completely out of their element.

I'll wait a year or two before I tell the world the guy can coach at this level.

Fair enough. And i'm not just here to stir ****e up cause all my post are positive for a school I could care less about. I'm from LA, my dad is a coach, I know who this guy is, not personally, professionally. He is an awesome recruiter. He is a class act. He is not a media whore. He doesn't need his dad to achieve success, he just needs a program like UT. He can't compete at LaTech b/c of location, LSU, OU, ARKY, OleMiss eat him up, but at UT he'll be in the mix with all the big guns. If you are a 4 star 17 year old, you want to be on TV every Saturday. This will not happen at LaTech. Dooley > Kiffin
