Joe Milton to Cowboys

We are Clipboard U! (except for Manning, of course).
One of the best jobs out there. 1) You have the best seat in the house for all the games. 2) You make great money. 3) A lot of free time in the spring and summer for golf and travel. Who wouldn't love that gig?

Release Dak, save a gang of money, and roll with Joe!!!!!
You don't seem to get how bad the Dak deal was. It would cost the Cowboys somewhere around 150-200M to cut Dak AND he has a no trade clause.

Dak isn't going anywhere even if Joe turns out to be Cam Newton on steroids. Dak's money is mostly guaranteed..... released or not, 200+M, no trade.

I keep hoping Hooker will get a shot - tremendous accuracy - but looks like he is just not going to get on the field.
This is the latest I've seen regarding Hooker. Among other things it seems to confirm the Bridgewater thing being about having an experienced backup for the playoffs. It still makes it clear he's not considered the #2 yet.

Don’t know what kind of mind games they are playing with Hendon. If the Lions don’t want him, they should trade him.

And they gave a 5th round pick to get him. Doubt he sees the field unless injuries at the QB position happen. Notice I used the plural ‘injuries”.
I wager the Pats made a deal with the Cowboys thinking their 5th round draft choice will be ahead of the draft picks of the other teams.

During the G-Bag Nation show on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Tuesday afternoon, Cowboys reporter Bobby Belt shared his latest on where Milton is in the process. Belt detailed a nice “deep crosser” that he threw during Tuesday’s practice in just his second throw of practice, acknowledging that Milton is a likely candidate to end up “the training camp star” for the media and the fans this fall.

“I can already hear it now,” Belt said. “You’re going to hear so much of the ‘why isn’t Joe Milton starting? We should have Joe Milton starting.’ Because you’re going to see it. It’s going to look super impressive. He’s still coming along in the processing. To the point that, like, I wouldn’t be surprised if, if they had to go out and play football today, and Dak were to get hurt for some reason, I think Will Grier is coming in. I don’t know that it’s Joe Milton. And so I think that they’re at the point right now where they like the tools, they’re trying to get him comfortable, they’re trying to bring him along. Because the processing is still something that, you know, he speeds up, he speeds through that stuff really quickly and he looks a little frazzled. So he’s working on it. A work in progress. But physically, the way he throws the football is really impressive.”

Folks have been hearing this since he was recruited at Michigan 😂. I love Joe but you have to admit its funny people have been saying the same thing about him for like 8 years.

Will Dallas finally crack the Joe code? I hope so because it would be exciting to see him ball out.

I wish him all the best, but if he’s still having the same issue he’s had for the last 5-6 years, I don’t know if it’s ever going to come together for him.
