Joe Milton Looking Good with Cowboys!

He was good at Tennessee, so why was that unfortunate?
He was not and you make yourself look like a fool for saying he was. There is no way anyone with that athletic profile and that arm would have fallen to the 6th round if he were even half decent in college. There was a time as of the South Carolina game his senior year where he was second passer in the entire nation on passes beyond the line of scrimmage. He was objectively bad and always will be.

269 of 421 passes for 2,813 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions

Hell, he played better than Nico

If I was a rich man I’d pay 500K to watch a full Joe Milton practice. It’s got to be god-like with reports we’ve heard for 5 years lol
I have actually seen It in person myself.

It defies physics and everything that you know about life. Almost a spiritual experience

You might endure some crying and not only question your sanity but also your reality in this world

He has am absolute cannon arm but doesn't know how to control it.

He has elite size and speed but doesn't know how to use it.

We've seen it for like 7 years now. Over and over. It's a shame, but that tiger ain't changing his stripes.

Was listening to Dallas sports talk radio yesterday. They are ready to cut Milton or relegate him to the practice squad after seeing him play Saturday. I think he will get one more chance this week, he better perform or his time in Dallas may be short lived.

Hope not, but I wouldn't be sad if he went to somewhere with a veteran starting...

Joe has always struggled with consistency. I think he would do well going somewhere like San Fran because of Kyle Shanahan. If he gets with one of the "QB whisperer" guys, I think he could develop properly. Steve Shimko and Ken Dorsey don't really jump out to me as the folks to develop Joe.

Milton played for two 2 qb whisperers and never developed. Dorsey developed Josh Allen, but nobody is developing Milton. Bill Walsh couldn’t do it. He doesn’t struggle with consistency, he just isn’t good.

I'm a Milton fan so I say this, don't be fooled by that clip.
He's not playing well although he has looked better in the 4th
His last drive was actually his best of the night, got sacked and they kickedd a FG but I wouldn't blame the sack on Milton, BMore been shooting the gaps and there's be a free defense guy getting free all night
He also had a guy drop the ball earlier

Milton out and Grier in. Hit Princeton Fant would a nice pass and catch but Fant on to the tent

Balled tonight!! Dime tuddy pass
I didn’t get to watch every play but I agree that he did very good. Missed that screen pass and receiver pushed on the floater TD. The one thing I kept asking was, who has been working with him?

Yup he looked improved. Still needs to work on his 1st down marker vision. I like he keeps looking down the field while running but at some point just pull it and get the 1st when it's there to be had.
Being QB2 is going to get him more coaching up than what he got in NE he also played a good game at the right time and they won the game. During the off season he really needs to work with a QB coach like Hurts did and get him to that next level.

Hooker will get playing time Saturday. At this point he really needs to light it up to make a practice squad some place. Detroit really hasn't done him any favors, he also needed to put on some weight imo

Not much bothers me more than people who either don’t watch or don’t know what they are watching and think they know what happened in a game from a box score.
He played well. Had at least 2 drops and 3 intentional throw aways (5 of 7 incompletions) making the smart play. Incompletion % wasn’t about lack of touch and accuracy last night.

So only 1/6 of his passes couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn. Technically that’s improvement.
