That's pretty much a foregone conclusion after Sheed yelled "get that f'ing camera out of my face" and threw a towel over it in the Celtics series. The Bad Boys image aside, the Pistons have to pretty much reload and move on.Both sides of the fence. Rasheed has been both a help and a hinderance to the Pistons. That's just the type of force he is. However, I think pretty much everybody has to agree that he's gotta go if Dumars is serious about building another dynasty. I've been hearing Sheed to the Bobcats. I could see it.
No other team has done more over that stretch other than the Spurs. So Detroit has been the second best team in the NBA over that stretch behind only a team that has been called a dynasty by many, yet you act like Dumars has done nothing. Let's say Fulmer is fired after the coming season and his replacement goes to six straight SEC championship games, wins two of them and wins a national championship. That wouldn't be a remarkable job?In other words they have been_maybe_the third best team in the NBA. wow.
It is not a bad comparison. NBA teams have more than one goal just like any other sport on any other level. 1st win your division, 2nd win your conference, and 3rd win a title. How is that any different than college football? There has been ONE team better than Detroit over the last 6-8 years. I guess San Antonio is the only organization that can be considered a success over that span because they were the best?Thats a bad comparison. There is only one goal in the NBA and thats to win a championship. The bottom line is he has ONE.
