Joe Doyle vs. the offense

Good points. Of course when you look at actual stats, your statements go down in flames.

I've looked at stats where I thought they were relevant and have generally been rewarded. Not always. But also the bigger picture today said they scored 1 touchdown against Charlotte on O. I'll be the first to say the OL is bad, but I saw JG with time several instances to no effect. Hell, he didn't even scramble. Look, wave the manic wand and solve the OL issues overnight ..... you're going to face JG as a limiting factor at the next level. As several folks have posted tonight, what exactly is his record to date? Stats aside mind you. Stats don't put food on the table so to speak.

Hmmm, so you seem to be one of those who like to believe a single player wins or loses a football game. So just to clear up any confusion, football is a team sport. So its not JGs record. Its the teams record.

Let the me be clear, as someone who has played this and MANY other team sports, no one person loses or wins a game unless you're golfing or playing singles tennis, etc. My growing and biggest issue has been with the OL starting circa 2015. Yes, I do believe that unit (OL) has cost us a game or two or three, as a unit, not necessarily as an individual. As for JG, no he individually has not lost a game, nor has he necessarily won one either.......but the powers that be tend to lay flowers or thorns at that position's feet (usually wrongfully). I'm attempting, IMO, to look beyond the limitations beyond JGs control ..... I.e. the OL, when he has time he can't get it done. I watched the Bama game and the commentator said Tua already knew where he was throwing the ball presnap, again not JG, Bama threw it before the receiver broke the route, again not a JG characteristic, the QB scrambled .... not JG. Anyaway there are several posts on our QBs ability or lack thereof to read a defense, you can choose to believe them or not. Compensating for much bigger issues such as the OL one is going to be left with JG. He has got serious issues just the same, a couple I'm hoping he is able to overcome.

Good comparison, since both JG and Doyle launched a ball downtown with over 4 seconds hangtime.

But JG sure is tough tho.

Where is the OP in this Thread?

He/She is watching and laughing at some of you argue over an irrelevant fact. Chasing a rabbit down a hole.

That is exactly where he is.... Punter vs QB....
