Hey kids I'll be living in Knoxville this summer and am needing a job. I've been looking around for places to apply (and have applied at a few places). I was just wondering if you guys know of anything in the UT/Downtown Knoxville area for a student looking for part time work. I'd also be willing to drive as far as the West Town Mall area of town.

So if you know of anything I'd really appreciate it if you'd let me know. Thanks!

There are tons of law firms downtown. You could probably get a job as a runner pretty easily.

Anyone know of any good jobs for a senior student majoring in marketing in Chattanooga? Somewhere downtown or 15-20 within Signal Mountain would be great...

Update:

I've applied at:

Blockbuster
Best Buy
Guitar Center
Rocky Top Books
Apple Store

I am going in to Rocky Top Books later for an interview.

If your grades are good, Thornton Center tutoring always paid well. When all other campus jobs were 5.15/hr, I got paid 9/hr at Thornton. But that's been ages ago, so it's probably gone up.

I'm not gonna be in school next semester. I got a job at Rocky Top Books, but am still looking for something better.

Yeah I'm disappointed about that, actually. And I'm taking a semester or two off, because of my grades and general apathy about school. I need some time to get my head on straight.

I did the exact same (took 2yrs off) and it did wonders. Got my self together, finished up and it's all working out now. Best of luck to you :salute:

oh, and get a job as server.

there's always people to party with and it's easy money.

here's how restaurant hiring works:

1. you walk in
2. they hire you

This gig with rocky top books shouldn't last too long. I think I'll just be there for a month at most, probably 3 weeks. I will go to places around campus and see what i can dig up in the mean time.

i'd go see if you could get part time help at Chilli's.

then when some jagoff inevitably loses his job, you just move into full time.

I was planning on going to these places:

Chili's

Buffalo Wild Wings

Mellow Mushroom
