Get real dude....we have good coaches who have been around and they'll make the decisions to be in everyone's best interests and foremost the team. JJ may have academic issues plus had an injured shoulder in January. Likely he'll go through the same protocol as any other player would. CJP doesn't strike me as the type of coach who plays favorites so IMO if JJ is on the field and getting playing time it's because he deserves it. Post Lyle Jones manic depressive syndrome is lingering with some of our fans. It clouds the judgement. So do you feel the same way when a true freshman comes in and takes the position of a 4 year starter or do you just care to get the best players on the field at all times like a good coach does?
That seems to be the ideal game for him to see some action if not the UGA game. Depends on how UT fares in the UF game. I don't know how this coaching staff thinks exactly but they're damn sure not negative about how they approach the games. If it's pressuring a qb that they seek and also thinking about a redshirt then I'd play him against UGA, Auburn, Bama, and USCe. Once he get's rolling I doubt very seriously the red-shirt idea is going to come into play. As far as learning the plays, he'll have 10 teamates to help him adjust. CJP will do the right thing.Prob take til about Auburn game 10/13 to get him up to speed. We have open date on 10/6, so coaching staff will have that week to give him a lot of individual attention.
He will not be allowed to practice in full pads for 2 weeks I believe per NCAA rules.
