JJ do better man

I watched the video, the hit and subsequent slide resulted with both players being up against some sort of equipment and tangled up with others. Watching that there is no way you can draw the conclusion that it was intentional. That is a big stretch. And it did not appear to be a stomp at all - it was more like his foot scraped across the head of the Vandy player before he rested it on the ground as he was trying to get up and move away.

Just watched our highlights on SEC Now.
Ripped his helmet off and stepped on his face is how they described it.

They had a different camera angle than the one shared in this thread. It looks even worse for JJ

This just hit ESPN sec will be calling soon
I hope not, I heard the announcers for the game pondering if it was worth it to JJ. If the SEC officials reviewing the game have a problem and the SEC office steps in it should not be based on bad PR from the team covering the game for broadcast and the sports networks hyping the incident.

I listened to Mark Packer calling a HS football game commenting on a unsportsmanlike conduct call on a player and declaring their was no place in football for such behavior. The player in question had a mean streak and had his fair share of unsportsmanlike conduct calls go against him. This kid was punished with a Div I scholarship to a top ten team in the country and significant playing time as a freshmen. That is exactly what football is all about

JJ's problem was his frustration was perceived as a result of his lack of catches and plays carrying the football. I have no idea why he was frustrated, perhaps he has been with the program for 5 years and understood why it was important for UT to crush Vandy. I really like our HC but I understand UT has very little tolerance to losing to Vanderbilt. Before UT becomes competitive they have to beat the teams they should beat such as Ga St and Vandy. I am sorry a trip to some lower tier bowl game and a 6 win season beating Chattanooga does not overshadow a loss to end the season vs Vandy. He is from the middle state area and knew some of those players and tempers do flare up when you are being physically beat up and you know the other teams players.

I hope the SEC office lets this incident go.

Sec network trying to expose it. Not sure the extent but there was definitely something extra going on in there. If he gets suspended, he will take it like a man.

This will give the commodedoor pantywaists something to whine about.Boo Big Orange Hoo! He was.turned the other way. These are the same jerks who say that cch.Pruitt should never touch a player. This probably comes from people who have a room full of participation trophies.

You could clearly read his lips on the sec network coverage talking to someone not in uniform "I stepped on that b**** a** head"

I'm not supporting dirty play but anyone that doesnt realize JJ is a bulldog hasnt been tuned in the last couple of years.

He was frustrated by a forgettable Senior night and took his frustrations out on Vandy (something I fully support). Id say he took it a little far.
Is that what he said ? Please provide your prior work history in lip reading. Thx !

First off, why are people saying he “stomped “ on the guys head? That was not stomping. JJ wasn’t even looking in dudes direction when He got up to walk off, his helmet was all twisted to the side. No way he saw dude down there and intentionally stepped on him. This is a big nothing burger.

Even minus stepping on his head, he should have never ripped his helmet off either. That was pointless. Just a stupid play on JJ's part. I was actually shocked when I saw him rip his helmet off and what transpired. The other guy, Justice, was just laying on the ground covering up.
If there are repercussions, he brought it all on himself.

Per SEC Network and ESPN the story starts out with JJ hitting Vandy player out of bounds and then blah, blah, blah. First off if you are going to report sports you should know what out of bounds or a late hit is. I think maybe the scrum was a little excessive, but this wasn’t a dancing competition.
GO VOLS

If y'all didn't know Disney owns ESPN and Disney is very liberal so DJ and the like are either saying this crap bc they are stupid or just tryn to keep their jobs. It's football, it's a contact sport, things happen. Our players aren't the thugs of Florida back in the day (Aaron for example) this is clearly an accident and yes a lot of the same stuff happened during other games today.

Lol anyone who can’t see that the guy who he tackled tried to pull his helmet off is ridiculous his helmet was all cockeyed as he got up. Then he gets pushed as he is turning around to walk away and steps on guys head (Barely hitting him with his cleats across the face. Didn’t step directly on his head.) Also, it looked like an accident.
