JJ do better man

Whatever it was or wasn't, I hope it gets sorted out in a way that helps JJ. I'm pretty sure he knows what happened. I'm pretty sure I have thoughts on it, but can't know, so ... I don't know.

So I don't know what it WAS, but I know what it looked like, and if I was his coach, I would run his butt for days and days and days. ... of course, the trainers would have to lay out a program for it so that we didn't mess up his S&C recovery cycle. hahahaha.... #notliketheolddays

You are ignoring all the other players around him pushing and shoving. Whether I can step on something that I'm not looking at makes no difference here. Watch how his foot comes down. I dont like that this happened, but to say he did this on purpose is a bit much.
Well maybe not you but apparently everyone else believes just because he was looking away means he didnt know what he was doing. I cant watch the video in this thread as apparently the tweet has been deleted. Ill try youtube.

I've replayed this over and over. Used the curser to move it back and forth. The argument can be made that Jennings wasn't aware that he was stepping on the guys face. It would be nearly impossible to prove that he did know unless he confessed. But I gotta tell you folks. I believe Jennings knew exactly what he was doing. Before you crucify me don't forget that I admitted there is no way to prove it.

I can't help but wonder if it affects which bowl we go to. I don't think any bowl committee would want this incident being argued in the media every day for a week before the game whether Tennessee has a player that should not be eligible. If the game we play in is not televised by ESPN you know they are going to run it relentlessly for no other reason than they hate Tennessee.

I'm with you that he did it knowingly, but I really don't think this will affect bowl selection. This will be old news in about 12 hours.

Uncalled for gif!

It is what the viewer wants it to be, intentional or accident, JJ needs to concern himself with how is how it will appear to NFL recruiting viewers, do they see it as they type of "hard play" they're looking for, or do they look at it as "poor discipline at this stage in his playing career". Let there be no doubt, bowl play (all of them) will be analyzed by NFL team recruiters/coaches etc., I hope nothing like this can be hung on JJ at this stage.

That's the way these stories usually go. But Jennings is our marquee player. His highlights would normally be part of advertising the game. Do they show this as one of his highlights. Of course not but I'll bet some media outlets will be showing it.

True. End of the day, I can't pretend to know what goes on in the minds of the board members of, say, the Tax Slayer Bowl. But I hope they'll focus on our massive traveling fanbase.
