You could clearly read his lips on the sec network coverage talking to someone not in uniform "I stepped on that b**** a** head"
I'm not supporting dirty play but anyone that doesnt realize JJ is a bulldog hasnt been tuned in the last couple of years.
He was frustrated by a forgettable Senior night and took his frustrations out on Vandy (something I fully support). Id say he took it a little far.
That's not what I see at all. He tried to get up, got pulled back down, pulled his right arm free (which took the helmet off because it was pinned against his knee when pulled he's knees under him to get up again) the Vandy guy was clearly holding onto him, he still had a hold of his left arm when he starts to get up. I've watched it a bunch of times. The more I watch it, the more convinced I am it was an accident. When his cleat make contact he stops stepping down and he drags his toe as he's moving away after so he doesn't step on him again. While JJ is on top of him, his right arm goes up, clearly taking the Vandy player's helmet off. Then he steps on him. It's very obvious
So when he stood up, he was completely behind the Vandy player, not straddling him as the Vandy player was laying perpindicular to JJ. Why would JJ take a step forward towards his head when all he had to do was back up? The UT assistant in the video was in the same spot with the Vandy player and easily avoided stepping on him. It was intentional. You dont have to be looking at something right in front of you to know where to step on it. Blow up a balloon and place it in front of you while looking at it. If you look away guarantee you can step on it 10 out of 10 times. Im really just providing this explanation for those who dont seem to grasp easy concepts such as peripheral vision. At the end of the day the Vandy player is ok, but JJ deserves a suspension. If he was intentionally trying to hurt the guy, then someone tell me why he stood up and clearly was moving away from the guy ( he did not have to be removed from him). Yes he should not have remained on him initially talking trash, but I can't be convinced that he was intentionally ripping helmets off and stomping his face. That's nonsense.
