these aren't the real math numbers, but I am simplifying because yall want to play partisanship instead of look at things honestly. we are currently (9/26/25) around 37 trillion in debt I believe. before this CR gets passed we are headed towards 39 trillion (end of this fiscal year). but that 39 trillion is now "not enough" the two CR options are 43.5 (39+4.5) or 45 (39+6). yall are forgetting that the 39 is already worse than where we currently are, 37. any change up from where we currently are is making things worse than they are today.

neither one is better. both are worse. yall are having to compare the CRs to each other, rather than looking at the actual impact either CR will have. both makes things worse. That's a fair and reasonable sentiment, but regardless of how you feel about Jimmy Kimmel and the quality of his show ....

I feel like we should all be glad that the federal government didn't succeed in getting a late night television talk show cancelled, just because the President doesn't like the political opinions which are being expressed by the host of the show.
