You are leaving out the most important part:So it seems the real thing that happened here is Kimmel’s comments upset affiliates who then requested he make an apology.
Instead of doing so, he intended on doubling down on his statements and was removed
Honestly if anyone really liked/watched his show, he could do the same dumb show on YouTube. But he knows he will lose money.
The coercive threats made by FCC Chairman Brendan Carr BEFORE ABC announced that Kimmel's show was being suspended.
I'm sorry but Carr is a big part of this story. You can't sweep that under the rug. Without his threats, there is nothing to see here.
