If Nexstar's merger goes through, the percentage will change upward for them. Both Nexstar and ABC need that merger to go through. For that to happen, they need the FCC to change an important policy.

I'm sorry, but you just can't get around the fact that Brendan Carr's threats carried significant weight here, and the President was 100% behind him on those threats.

Both DJT and Carr favor deregulation. Deregulation allows broadcast affiliates to consolidate. Over the last 2 decades consolidation has been more prevalent.

But I have nothinto concrete to offset the conspiracy theory you have created.

If Brendan Carr had just kept his mouth shut. There really would be nothing to see here. The cancellation of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" would have been accepted as nothing but a business decision by ABC, just as the cancellation of Stephen Colbert's show was accepted as a business decision by CBS.

I can't believe how much some of you are defending what Brendan Carr said. Carr is 100% responsible for the cancellation of one stupid late night talk show becoming a controversy.

The surely did and Kemmel refusing to apologize was a major factor as well.

This is a win win for the mouse. They get to clear their books of a 45mil loss and Trump takes the heat. (Deservedly so)
