This clip was edited, but Kimmel says that he grew up in the church. Does that mean that he abandoned it or he's still in the church?

Also, Kimmel sounds like like an activist. It's his right, but does that mean ABC determined that Kimmel is no longer entertaining his audience on an entertainment show but was using it for political influence?

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr did more than "suggest" something.

Brendan Carr gave ABC an ultimatum to either take action against Jimmy Kimmel or else the FCC would take action against ABC.

I'm not making this up. I can prove that is exactly what Carr did, and he did it before ABC announced that Kimmel's show was being suspended indefinitely.

The optics here are dreadful for the Trump Administration on the First Amendment. I don't want to hear another damn word about how Trump is protecting freedom of speech - which is what he said he would be doing during his 2024 Presidential Election Campaign a year ago.

I understand how you get the implication. I'm simply not going there because implication is heavily influenced by what we want to hear.

In addition, I don't care which team the shooter belongs to so I have little interest in that side of it.

The affiliates had already made moves to preempt Kimmel before Carr's comments. It is true ABC acted after the comments. Affiliates talked in the AM. Carr comments in the PM.

It wasn't until Nexstar made their announcement that ABC was compelled to act. That brings us back around to the issue concerning the major change in policy that Nexstar needs from the FCC in order to complete a pending merger.

Brendan Carr's comments carried significant weight, not just for ABC, but also for the Nexstar media group.

I don't have a specific number for you. LOL.

However, ABC was not compelled to take "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" off the air until Nexstar made their announcement that their affiliates would be pre-empting the show. Nexstar's announcement came after Brendan Carr's threats had already been made.

You can't get around how bad the optics are for Carr. He simply should not have made those threats.

Since you like to use words like ballistic charts I’m assuming you also understand how an object traveling at a high speed thru the air leaves a vapor trail? This is either a vapor trail or the bullet trace caused by compressibility.
