In the same Truth Social post where Trump gloats over the cancellation of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," Trump also calls on NBC to fire Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers. LOL.

When does this stop? When Trump gets nothing but people he approves of on television? This is insane. It's very authoritarian.

That's correct, and the label is even more applicable today. Seems you are taking after the Trump Administration and becoming a willing soldier for the Thought Police.

Kimmel jumped the gun and stepped over the line with his comment the other night. But Trump’s comment about removing licenses of broadcasters that criticize him is way out of bounds.

Is anybody surprised by any of this? Let’s call it what it is. State run media. Just one step closer for the wannabe king to have it like his heroes Putin and Kim. A dictatorship. The chickens are coming home to roost.

It’s always twisted that conservatives are against immigration. 99.9% have no problem with legal immigrants. Illegal immigrants should be deported.

It isn't more applicable today, you just became aware of more of it today. The past three or four administrations have been restricting free speech in ways you didn't notice, and others the left and right both celebrated depending on who was being stifled.

NYT is admitting ABC was being pushed by advertisers and TV stations to fire Kimmel.

I don’t like that the FCC even exists and the comments made were stupid. But this also didn’t occur in a vacuum. His ratings were horrific and he was drawing a lot of unwanted attention. So reality caught up with him

Obama destroyed that. Idk how much of it was intentionally coming from him specifically, but the entire media would pretend any criticism was just overt racism. I recall late night hosts having a field day with the Clinton affair and with Bushisms.

No, he didn't say that Tyler Robinson was MAGA.

Basically, Jimmy Kimmel was (inartfully) accusing MAGA of exploiting Kirk's murder for political gain by associating him with every unfavorable affiliation they could .... except for themselves.

Kimmel said it in such a way, that it's easy to misinterpret.
