Jimmie Kimmel Show gone !

Kimmel should. Not ABC.

As to the networks more broadly speaking, my assumption is that his team is telling him that he cant yank licenses over content. And his comments doom him even if he tried.

So, the only conclusion is that he made the comments knowing that he has no intention of following through. Its just more red meat for the base. More bluster. More lying.

In other words, standard Trump.
Kimmel to file suit against who?

Kimmel doesn’t have a case unless ABC backs up his story
Disney/ABC will reach a lucrative financial settlement with Kimmel, that will require him to sign an NDA and an agreement to not be critical of them.

Disney/ABC will want this story to die quickly. There is quite a bit of outrage coming from the entertainment industry over this controversy amid the perception that they caved in to a threat from the Trump administration. Disney can't be tone deaf to that.

Jimmy is gonna get paid. 💰

Not saying you are wrong. Having difficulty finding the timeline

I found the press release and it’s dated 9/17 and in it it says after discussions with the network early this morning they were preempting the show.

Post it, you dirty liar.

Having government controlled media isn't really helping the facism allegations.
In Trump's celebratory post on Truth Social, he also called Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers "total losers" and called on NBC to cancel their shows as well.

That is another aspect of this that really bothers me. Trump evidently thinks that it's within his power to tell major television networks who they can employ and who they can't employ. That's authoritarianism.

And once again, it should be beneath the President of the United States to be celebrating the cancellation of a late night talk show, as if it is some great accomplishment of his. However, time and time again, we see that nothing is below Donald Trump when it comes to being petty and unprofessional. NOTHING.

They are kissing up. 😂
That's dismissive of ...what did you call it...
You can tell an anecdote, but that doesn't automatically mean that it happened, unless you can provide documentation that it did. In that case, however, it's your source of documentation that becomes the evidence, not your telling of the story itself.

All 4 of @volfanhill 's points are verifiably true.
Oh, there other is....a "source of documentation that becomes the evidence".
