Jimmie Kimmel Show gone !

I just don't get it. The right jokes about murdering people all the time, as recent as like yesterday talking about blowing up the boats. When Paul Pelosi was nearly murdered the right turned it into a huge joke and made gay jokes about it. The Fox News host said we should just flat out kill all the homeless people last week and STILL HAS A JOB. Why are we treating Kirk like he was some war hero patriot? No one said a word about the school shooting that happened the day Kirk was shot. Don't see any thread about the black kid they found hanging from a tree in Mississippi a few days ago.

The first amendment is crumbling. Free Press is dead. It's turning into bend the knee or get cancelled. Never though I'd say it but Tucker is right.

You could have jumped and started those threads yourself. Kirk was assassinated in front of a live audience and it was played out for the world to see instantly.

Blowing up drug cartel boats doesn’t move the sympathy needle when the end result for them is killing Americans.
Love the new rage for 1A by the left when they were silent in the 2020 election.

Murder is murder. It's not different just because there's a video.

It's interesting to see the "say no cancel culture" crowd, fully embrace cancel culture.

I guess we can toss that in the pile with "fiscal conservatism" and everything else that you guys have abandoned to be MAGA.
I’m ready for Jimmy and Adam to get the band back together for a new an improved version of The Man show on ABC. Busty babes on trampolines and that older phugger chugging beer in one gulp!. Life was so much simpler back then.

It's not cancel culture. He lied and his employer didn't like it so they fired him. It wasn't even a clever lie. Cancel Culture is when you express a view that people don't like and they cancel you.

From Google:
Cancel culture is fundamentally different from lying, though the two can be intertwined. The core difference is that lying is an act of deception committed by an individual, whereas cancel culture is a form of social and public consequence enacted by a group. A lying person intends to deceive, while cancel culture is the reaction to a person's perceived misdeeds.

It should have been Disney's decision. Not the FCC chair's decision.
It was their decision. What led to that is on Jimmy.

But hey I’m for abolishing the FCC too. If Trump does that will you be happy since they are the ones you think got your buddy Jimmy fired?

Being canceled because of over-reactionary outcry is cancel culture. It’s funny that the same lot that were so offended by #metoo (not saying there weren’t overreactions in that movement too, there were) are the ones falling right into this same cancel culture trap.

No, it wasn't.

Donald Trump's hand-picked FCC Chairman, Brendan Carr, threatened to take away ABC's broadcasting license.

That type of threat is consistent with how Trump has handled matters when he sees reports he doesn't like on NBC News and CNN. Trump often makes threats to revoke licenses on social media over comments which should be protected by the 1st Amendment. The cancellation of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" has Trump's finger prints all over it, and this is an infringement on free speech.

.... and I never watched "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" I haven't watched a late night talk show since David Letterman retired in 2015.

the Daily Beast has an interesting definition of "explicitly"

However, the clip in question, which comes from Monday night’s monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, does not feature Kimmel “explicitly” characterizing Robinson as MAGA or Republican.

Kimmel actually says, “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

how do they think that's not explicit?

Your side assassinated an innocent man, got themselves fired in droves out of pure malevolence and spitefulness, and you’re gonna hit the other side with the old “rEAl MaTurE GUyS”? Good luck with that.

Maybe it wasn’t just cancel culture. His show sucked like many of the others.

That's what you are taking objection with? The Daily Beast's choice of words?

The President of the United States just successfully cancelled a late night talk show over a joke he didn't like. LOL.

These are strange times we are in. 🤪
