A&M hasn’t traditionally recruited so Fla or East Tennessee for that matter. Now, they are National recruiting. And winning! Yet they still haven’t won anything in 70+ years.

I don't see it as defensive. I see it as he's angry that his character was called into question. I see nothing wrong with that. Of course, many will say he doesn't have character...and unlike many in society today, I have no problem with one having a different opinion than me.

Texas A&M traditionally primarily only recruited Texas.

Jimbo Fisher has connections in GA and FL from his time at FSU.

Since he began recruiting at A&M, they’ve become a more national brand.

Numbers of recruits from states other than Texas.

2019 9/25 or 36%
2020 14/25 or 56%
2021 10/24 or 42%
2022 13/30 or 43%

Their recruiting class was so highly ranked largely because they got a lot of highly rated recruits in the Houston area.

Your last point about the Houston area is spot on. Texas produced more top end talent this year then they have in close to two decades. And that doesn’t even include Ewers who was originally part of the ‘22 class. That along with the disastrous season that Texas had, led to this class. I mean 2 or 3 of their five star in-state signees were considered heavy Texas leans before the start of the season. All that on top of the terrific season that they had in 2020 and beating Alabama this year led to their historic class.

I think he is serious. I also think someone/NCAA could be snooping around and he wanted everyone to know if he goes down he burning down the house to. All the schools and coaches he has ever worked for or with better be worried in what he knows and what he will say

I liked his dig at Kiffin even though he didn’t mention his name. Kiffin was quoted in an ESPN article about how some teams will get all the top recruits because of the NIL money but his team isn’t one of them.

You start beating Saban on the field and in recruiting and you get his attention. You get his attention and....well, look at how that went for preacher Freeze. I'm gonna enjoy watching this play out.

TBH, aren’t all college football coaches like used car salesmen? They have to sell their school to recruits. Some have more to sell, some have less to sell. It is not like Jimbo didn’t have top 10 classes at Texas A&M before this year’s class.

#4, then #6, then #8…… went 9-1 in 2020 and beat Alabama this year. Most of the rank of a class is based on the previous year’s season …. You reap the rewards a year and a half later.

All schools are doing NIL. A&M supporters seem to be doing better at it.
