I heard a rumor that Ole Miss was flirting with Jim Tressel does anyone know if there is any truth to that?

after the multi many year show cause he is fixing to get, I would not put much stock into that rumor. He just got hired by Indy anyways

regardless, I think that is a bogus rumor. I could see him getting back into coaching, but not at Ole Miss

The Indy deal is peanuts. That is likely just a 1 year thing

I agree. He could get back into coaching but not Ole Miss. They'd be a great fit..both suck.

I've seen UCLA fans talking about Tressel if they have another bad season.

Given the choice, Ole Miss wouldn't even garner consideration if UCLA is an option.

After a 2-5 year show cause penalty Tressell and his sweater vest would be a good pick up for the Rebels.

It is likely just a job to get him acclimated to how the Pro Game works, so that he can take the next Pro HC job that comes open.

He is not going to coach in college again. Bank on it.

Oh, and IMO I don't see any FBS school hiring Tressel in the near future.

Houston Nutt is a horrible coach. Half his salary should go to McFadden and Felix Jones as they alone gave him credibility.

The Vest is hanging out in Indy this year to acclimate himself the pro game. And Irsay is probably going to be able to get rid of his head coach since they don't have Peyton Manning for enough games to make it look even worse than it is. I've seen way too many "oh this means absolutely nothing" deals like this in the pros to believe that Tressel is just there to help the team with replay challenges.

I'd say that in likelyhood Jim "the Tat" Tressel won't get back to coaching in college for a long, long time.
