Book it! Ok, maybe dont' book it, and maybe he won't even get a chance... but hear me out here and see if he doesn't remind you of someone...

Former College QB at Michigan, Heisman finalist, Big Ten Player of the year, first round draft pick of the Chicago Bears.

Somewhat tumultuous NFL career.

Followed up by success at the University of San Diego going 7-4, 11-1, 11-1 in his 3 years there.

Taking over at a traditionally weak football school with high academic credentials in Stanford in 2007, leading the cardinal to a 4-8 record, followed up by a 5-7 record, then an 8-5 record last season tying for second place in the Pac 10 with 2 consecutive wins against Southern California... at STANFORD

Reminds me of a young, Steven Orr Spurrier if you ask me.

Whoever has Hammy's cell, read him this post. Ooh, and I want like.. some credit.. Or like a Buddy's BBQ sandwich or something.

This..... I just finished reading on Jim Harbaugh and I think he would be a much classier guy then Lane Kiffin. I'm supporting the idea of hiring Jim Harbaugh.

Same here...but why didn't USC go after him with him being right up the street practically?

There a lot of Michigan boosters who want him as the Wolverines hc when RR gets the ax. RR has angered many Meatchicken boosters. If Harbaugh came here we could be in the same spot next year!!!!!!!!

He would be a great hire except that he will bolt for whatever NFL HC jobs that he's offered in a heart beat. Remember, he interviewed for Jets' HC job early last year, and just imagine how high his stock would go after he starts to win games at UT. That' why I prefer a guy like Gruden who had it all already

BTW, apparently Harbaugh has a buyout clause amounting to some postage stamps and packing peanuts, was making $750,000/yr, which has been bumped this past season to $1,250,000/yr after a contract extension.

Too bad UT seems deadset on a Defensive Coordinator.

Even Gruden's mom doesn't want to be around him. There is no way he can relate to 18-22 year old guys. There was no sleep lost by his players in Tampa Bay when he was fired and they are pros.

He is living proof that "if you make that face, your face will get stuck that way."
