Meh, I'm.not so sure this is anything more than adding someone with kinda deep pockets.

The "improper supervision" like cracked me up ha ha. I have hired quite a few employees in my time and can honestly say I have never seen this one come up before either lol.

It probably isn’t any more than just what you said about deep pockets. It just adds to the Harbaugh/Michigan sleaze connection.

slap on the wrist for sign stealing.

fines of up to 30 million, and show clauses. and one additional game suspension of their HC, in 2026, against Western Michigan.

captain obvious statement here: but the NCAA punishment methodology doesn't make any sense.

Cheat off the field in a way doesn't directly impact the game, not interfering with any other school, while being a bad team and you get pretty harsh punishments that impact the team on the field.

cheat on the field, in a way that directly impacts the game, using that illegal competitive edge, while negatively impacting multiple other schools, and you get a fine. and oh yeah, coaches that aren't coaching in the CFB or already have jobs get show clauses that will do absolutely nothing.

The overrated douche canoe is a cheater. And he got away with it big time. Then he skipped town.
What a joke of a penalty. Slap on the wrist for Michigan. Harbaugh is now the most penalized coach in the HISTORY of the NCAA-Fourteen years of show cause that means NOTHING and they get to keep the title and nothing happens going forward. I never want to hear another word from him, Michigan or the Big 10 about how much more pious they are than the SEC or anybody else.

And I hope this is the last time I have to hear about the NCAA and punishment. Toothless is the nicest thing I can say about the bunch of hypocrites and they can’t go away soon enough. This one rivals their turning a blind eye to North Carolina’s academic scandal. There have always been sacred cows and now it’s there again for the world to see.

I agree.

While I admit that what Pruitt et Al were up to, it pales in comparison to this. We lost whenever we cheated anyway ha ha.

If UT had done anything even remotely approaching what Michigan did, the NCAA would force us to tear down Neyland and sell it for scrap and not play football for a century

Paying players (not even generational players at that) under the table to come to your university vs having everyone’s signs and knowing what plays are coming. I’ll use baseball as an example. Just because the Dodgers have the most talented team in the sport doesn’t guarantee them a championship. The Houston Trashtros having knowledge of every single pitch heading to the plate exponentially increases their chances of winning. It’s really the exact same thing that happened, just a different sport. And if you think about, the exact same punishment. The players were given immunity and the coaches involved got employed elsewhere. Moore was the only one that stayed and he only got 25% of the season suspended.
