Similar to those that argue that Phil Fulmer isn't a good coach despite his winning percentage?
NFL teams have always had revenue sharing and various other restaints in place to ensure competitive balance. College football doesn't work that way. Louisiana-Lafayette doesn't have the same shot at success Tennessee does. However, if one wants to look Fulmer's record against programs with comparable resources and facilities, I think that's very instructive.

So John Madden the coach, could go to Miami and turn a 1-13 team into one of the top teams in the league? Despite an equal chance to succeed?

I see what you're saying, but you can take pretty much any coach with a high win percentage, remove the wins versus everyone but the "elite/top dogs/etc" and it will take a drastic nose dive.

Not exactly true. Look at the records of, for example, Bob Stoops, Pete Carroll and Jim Tressel against Top 25 opponents. They don't suffer much in those comparisons. My point is Fulmer does. Take his career record against Saban, Tuberville, Richt, and Meyer. It's bad to awful.

Before our game with KY I heard Donnan say that Rich Brooks was done afterwards. Haven't seen that announcement yet.

the only "inside" info that Donnan is familiar with is the inside of his intestines, as he has had his head up his own a** for way too long.
