Pruitt is not getting fired during or after his second season without something off the field.

How many people are gonna ask this dumb question
disagree........Fulmer doesnt have a long leash and he might get gun shy if we start 0-6 or 1-5.

Heck no, I don’t want anyone who said they would retire at Tennessee. I didn’t know he was talking about this year.

Chaney’s coached 25 seasons and Pittman 23. A total of 6 seasons with 3 teams TOGETHER...no history before their ONE season together at UT(Kiffin was gone about two seasons before). That’s nowhere close to “coached everywhere together”. Redo your work.
Hmm. Thanks for correcting me but they have coached together for 6 years in a row prior to this year

If we were to only win 2-3 games this year there still isn’t anyway he would get canned. And if he did, what halfway decent coach would want to take over? We’re better off sticking with Pruitt than to go through that coaching search purgatory again.

No they didn’t. Chaney left Arkansas for Pittsburgh for a season...unaccompanied.

It’s better if we just take our lumps with Pruitt then to start another process over again

I look at this way......Pruitt is getting good players. He does seem to have some good coaches. So give him some time and if he fails in 2 or 3 more years at least there should be some quality players ! I think Pruitt is having trouble with this HEAD COACH thing. He just doesn't know how to put if all together to make a winning team. However, I think he is a hard worker and perhaps will learn from his mistakes?? He is rebuilding the team with good players... We DON'T NEED ANYMORE BUY-OUTS!!

Let's say Tennessee's season goes something similar to the way it's first game went. What's the earliest Pruitt would be let go(maybe if we go 1-6/1-7)? Secondly, what would the interim (Chaney or Tee) have to do to keep the job for next season? And finally, if Chaney becomes head coach, he has to bring in Sam Pittman right?

Ehh, as I’ve stated before. I’m just not convinced they took it seriously until it was to late. When they actually tried they did what they wanted. After the fact they got back on thier heels again.

It’s sucks.

No they didn’t, they got runned the hell over all day.

It’s been one game for Chaney. Also, JG could be the problem with why his offense looks bad. We don’t know. But none of this is proof of Pruitt not letting coaches coach. I find it hard to believe that Pruitt would meddle with an experienced OC like Chaney.

If JG is such a problem it’s the coaches fault for not recruiting a competent replacement.

I don't want Chaney as HC period...Pruitt isn't gonna go anywhere unless the bottom absolutely falls out. He's the right guy for the job.

Pruitt is gonna get fired after we lose to BYU 73-3. Then we will hire Chuck Norris as our new head coach. Teams on our schedule will forfeit the rest of the games because they will be too scared to play us. We will go 10-2 and play for the SEC championship against Bama. Saban will beg for his life on national television and.......

I really don't know where I'm going with this...... I'm just tired of sucking and getting made fun of at work for losing to Georgia state.

I agree. Except, I think Pruitt is making the call on JG being the QB. I saw more mistakes and more promise out of Chryst last year. I don't think he ever got a chance to show his upside. After moving the ball effectively vs Bama, the guy should have started vs USC. Maybe that was where Helton and Pruitt didn't agree. Who knows?
