Jim Bob Cooter

I wish we'd try to hire him to replace debored...but i doubt he'd do it. He's a name on the rise in the nfl

Bear in mind one thing. Remember when we wanted Lovie Smith to leave Chicago and be our head coach? He said that he wanted to BUT he only needed a couple more years in the NFL before he was eligible for the NFL retirement.
Jim Bob would be crazy to leave the NFL, "IF" he had over ten years in the league. No guarantee that you can leave NFL and later return to complete your time needed to get retirement.
Just a thought.

Because he is really young to be an OC in the NFL. Duh

I get that he's young to be OC, but it feels less like he's an Offensive Coordinator by selection and more like he's an Offensive Coordinator by need because they fired the guy they had mid-season.

John McClain indicates he is one of the hottest assistants in the NFL right now, and he was saying this before Jim Bob got the OC position with the Lions. McClain is well connected in the NFL.

Last year Jim Bob was QB coach for Lions and several teams wanted to interview him for other positions including John Fox at Chicago wanting him for OC. Lions said no as he was still under contract with them. Not many times do you see an organization not let a position coach interview for a coordinator position with another team.

It would be nice to have Jim Bob as Tennessee offensive coordinator

So you are saying J.Bob as O.C. Manning as Q.B. Coach and maybe Martin as receivers coach.
Martin can't be running back coach because Hurd is too soft, according to Martin.
