JG plays because of...

What is this based off of?

Look at JGs recruiting thread. People were saying we would hang his jersey after he left UT.

I hope Bailey is a program changer, but we don't know that.
Guarantano was crowned by recruiting services. Some people live by that. Not me. I trust my own eyes.

Maurer still does not have enough snaps to form an accurate opinion if he will be better than JG. JG did not deserve to be put back in the game. Pruitt should have alternated Maurer and JT.

Totally agree with you on this. It was obvious so the half we were probably not winning this game. The coach started the true freshman to stay the 2nd half.

Bailey. CJP and co. believe Bailey coming in next year is our version of Lawrence at Clemson. Maurer won’t get meaningful snaps this year for the irrational fear of him having enough success to convince Bailey to look elsewhere.

Thoughts? Probably sounds half-baked but I’ve been lurking on here most of the day so rational thought is nearly shot.
Nah...If I’m Bailey, I feel better about winning spot from partial first year starter than a 5th year senior. Unless Maurer turns out to be really good...in which case, I’ll be good with that too. Top QB’s don’t think like that...it’s why UGA, Clemson, etc, can sign guys on top of each other...knowing at some point, maybe one transfers...but you get your guy.

LOL. Honesty is the best policy!

And he was called “hot garbage” after his first year in the league. Dude had like 11 tds and 25 ints (or something along those lines) but they stuck with him and look how that turned out.

I believe JG grad transfers after this year unless there is some sort of miraculous(I aint using that lightly either) turnaround. Just have a feeling he'll look for a change of scenery. Sure worked for that kid from ECU who went to WSU and played last year.

Well I guess you were a top QB at one time who completely understands how High School “Top Qb’s think”.

He would still be light years better than what we have now
I think that’s premature judgement of BM tbh. You gotta understand he hasn’t practiced with the starters. Against UTC he was misused and today he was thrown to the wolves with essentially no practice, in a hostile environment and both himself and Chaney were unprepared for him to see action.

Ok I am going to let the cat out of the bag for everyone here. There is no possible way that Coach Pruitt is not letting a better qb play this year who may be successful for fear another QB who may or may not be successful in next year's class. This is dumber than the calls for him to be fired

Some coaches make dumb decisions when it comes to the throw game.

What I'm saying is that if Lawrence was here JG would have hit the transfer portal & BM would have time to sit & learn from Lawrence

Yep ...king of backyard nerf football. Everyone wanted me but I chose to bring my skills to Knoxville for intramural flag football.

Agree. Dad played at Rutgers and they are in as much need for qb as we are.

The coach didn’t hold onto Martinez. We swapped him out for Shrout. Then we didn’t bring in a grad transfer capable of playing.

Chryst was limited but moved the offense better LAST Year. That should tell us something.
