If we can limp through the 8th game behind our Shirley Temple OLine with a 3 QB system including McBride, JT Shrout should be available in week 9 without losing a redshirt season. I can see them getting to McBride in this next 4 game stretch after the stretcher bearers are called out several times in the GA, AU, AL, and USC games. If JG, Chryst, and McBride are all hospitalized by the Charlotte game, then Shrout will get a trial backed up by the reliable mainstay Janzek.

I'm really hoping the staff has enough sense to get Shrout involved as much as possible while retaining the redshirt but I seriously doubt they have the skill to finesse the situation properly. It's asking a bit much from a bunch of first-timers.
