JG Helmet Spike After Loss

Anybody else see that?

Spiked his helmet between his legs right in front of 3 South Carolina players and it looked like they mocked him afterward.

Emotional and a little immature, but if I'm the coach, he's my starter going forward.

The system is simple it is read option...you hand it to the RB....you fake the hand off to the RB and run it...or you pass it to the open receiver. To do it properly you need a QB who can read the defense and determine what to do. The QB must be mobile...al la Josh Dobbs.

Josh Dobbs made our inept coaching look good the past couple of years because he could take a horrible play and gain 30 yards with his legs. It's obvious if Jones doesn't have a very mobile QB, his offensive scheme is a joke. Guarantano is much more mobile than Dormady but he is definitely not Dobbs.

I'd actually like to hear that someone on this team went back to the locker room and destroyed everything in sight.

Reminded me of one of my all-time favorite Vols....Hacksaw Reynolds. Youngsters need to google how he got the nickname.

You mean his childish throwing of the helmet, after he played like an eighth grader?
You are an ass. This was a freshman starting his first game who led a great last-minute drive and played the whole game handicapped by incredibly incompetent play calling.

Anybody mad that a freshman threw his helmet down in anger has never broken a controller on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo.

Therefore, your opinion doesn't matter because you're either old or out of touch.

Get over it. If half the team showed the same emotion, Butch might still be thought of as a decent coach.

Was it immature? Sure. Was it a red flag? Zero percent.

At least he cares.

Looked like some of their players either patted him on the back or helped him up (like a "hey man, we've all been there before too").

Of course the kid is immature. He's still a kid on a losing team lacking leadership and coaching. It's not as easy as saying he needs to grow up BC most likely the kid would've matured if he had some guidance from coaches and other players.

This team absolutely deserves a better coaching staff!!! They play their butts off for this one and if they had any development from their hs days, we would be looking at a 5-1 start! I hoped to see this OL improve with the staff changes plus defensive improvements in Shoop's second year but our DB's still play soft and never see a pass until receivers catch them!

GO VOLS!!!
