JG Helmet Spike After Loss

Stop this nonsense!
First start for a young qb.
He didn’t look like a mature Peyton, but it wasn’t a bad first look.

Give the dude a chance. Under all the pressure and locker room craziness I’m actually impressed

Right. He played well for the most part. His arm is very good. None of the horrid decisions we had in games prior to this one. For a first start, he was steady except a couple of fumbles which he covered. If he had started from game one, that would be different. But it wasn't and he was 11-18 and no ints. That and his protection broke down several times. Blame a veteran OLine which gave up several sacks today and TFLs.

Uncontrolled emotions are preferred over controlled emotions? I bet you love it when your significant other cries and throws a fit.

No but I love when my significant other has uncontrollable emotions and passion in the bedroom. It’s all about place and time. If he threw his helmet in the middle of the game or across Kingston Pike I would agree with you.

Also it is up to the coaches to teach these young men how to handle emotions in a high stressed environment. They are failing as the last couple of weeks have taught us. Also as a Marine I’ve seen some the finest young men that this country has to offer struggle with the same thing. If you have good NCOs they will teach the young Marines how to channel their emotions. Leadership starts at the top.

Kid was starting his first game and played ok I thought. So who gives a damn if he spiked his helmet at his feet. He didn’t throw it down field or into the stands. If his half a$$ed coach let’s him throw it a few more times we may win. He, along with the rest of team, deserves better. We have much bigger problems than him showing some emotion.

JG is an awful qb just like butch is an awful coach

See... you’ve already decided this after the first start of a kid with three full years of eligibility. Bet you hated Tee too after his first start. Or were you a big Brent Schaefer fan? He was fantastic his first start then disappeared.

Yeah... at least it wasn’t beer bottles at parked cars.

Well ya see he has played in several games at key points and sucked then too. I bet youre proud of the dooley years.

He knows he is no longer gonna have an easy ride with a new competent coach. The easy days of playing for Butch are over.

I'm 100% sure you've never played on any team or know anything about sports regardless if you have or haven't played on a team, lol.

We go 3 and out and they show JG coming off the field ignoring QD's attempt to help coach him up. That's not a team player, too caught up in emotion to better himself so we have a chance to win. He ain't the future.

I wouldn’t listen to Dormady either about quarterbacking

No. He has no coaching and development. We got so spoiled by Dobbs the last few years.

Agree on Butch. Even a bad coach should cobble together one touchdown a game. After next week we will have 14 quarters in a row without one.

Good Lord I wish half of you mouth breathers would just stay away from the internet. Jg did ok today. He is extremely hampered by a moronic coaching staff. Just admit butch and Scott suck and move along.

Moving the ball without turnovers. That is enough for me compared to Dormady. I didn't think JG was ready. Still don't but he moved the offense better than his competition.

Nope. Until the last drive they really didn't give him a chance to make mistakes. Prior to the last drive when USCe went prevent... UT had 14 2nd half plays for 6 yards. They still do not trust JG to run significant portions of the O... and that may get him hurt when he plays a REAL defense... like next week.

This STILL isn't the fault of either QB. This is Jones and his system.
