At this point, Sanders might as well sit on the bench.

Perry is really good.

Why do people say dumb stuff like this? It ain't 1985 anymore. There's no redshirt to protect. He's not gonna be here for 5 years. He also getting paid more than anyone else in that line. So he better earn his paycheck.

Yall need to stop with the old way of thinking. We need to get the most out of Sanders right now cause there's no guarantee he'll be here even next year.

Didn’t we almost have that kid at Miami out of high school too? Regardless, really like that we have real depth on the o line, Perry’s ability to shift around helps so much. Pendleton may not be our best o lineman necessarily but he may be the most important, the center spot looked a bit shaky behind him saturday

Sham is our worst pass blocking OL per PFF through 2 games. IMO that's the reason Sanders will start this game and bump Perry back to OG, which will give us our clear best 5.
Pretty sure Sham made the PFF team of the week lol. He’s pretty good at the job it would seem.

LG Sham Umarov — 81.5 (56 plays) last week
Got this from 247 article about potential breakout freshmen:

Antoni Ogumoro

Former three-star recruit Antoni Ogumoro, ranked No. 51 among interior offensive linemen in the 2025 class, made his collegiate debut on Saturday and excelled in pass protection. Ogumoro played 45 snaps at left guard, allowed zero pressures, and earned the highest pass-protection grade among Tennessee players at 82.8, per Pro Football Focus.

Starting left guard Shamurad Umarov has the lowest overall PFF grade among Vols starting offensive linemen this season at 63.7, allowing a team-high three pressures on 63 pass-block snaps through two games.

6’-7”, 330 lbs is the runt of the line?
Heck Walken, I started to argue with folks on here the other day that think our DT’s weigh 250. Then I quickly decided it was silly and not worth the trouble. No surprise some think Sham is “smaller than others”. I think it’s a depth perception problem.

I actually agree with you here. The coaches did apparently believe the best 5 included Sanders.

This is a huge ask though to get his first snaps against Georgia.

Sham isn’t an option at RT

The choice is status quo or starting Sanders at RT and Perry bumping Sham out of the lineup as the other G with Moi.
That's exactly what I said and the point of my post. I never indicated that Sham would play Tackle. If Sanders is inserted, Sham is the one bumped out of the lineup.

"It’s not Sanders or Perry. It’s Sanders or Sham, with Perry moving to Guard"...to replace Sham (although Moe will move to Sham's spot at LG and Perry would play RG).

The question is, do we a) keep things status quo because it's been clicking and there seems to be chemistry or b) do we insert Sanders because it puts our most talented 5 out there and puts Perry at his more natural position?

I'd go with b. We need the most athletic/talented group out there for this UGA defense. But I'd understand going with a.
