And would have won by 3 TDs if his team didn't commit huge mistakes, just like every week.
Face it, out of 8 opponents, we played below the competition for at least the first two quarters in 7 of them...and that's against a few bad teams and a mediocre one.
differening options so to speak.
There are several good to very good coaches. I was speaking to exceptional.
Jimbo had his lighting in a bottle...not so stellar since
Already covered Saban, Petersen, Ferentz and Herman in my response.
Dabo finally got out of his own way and hired great assistance...earlier post compared him to CBJ. Will be interesting to see how he fares when his cash cow heads to the NFL.
Not sold on Harbaugh just yet...he inherited a great roster. There's a reason he's not still in the NFL and his stint at Stanford....well....his best season was when the league was down and he did lose to the only other really good team that year. He can coach, but has baggage.
Patterson is having another one of those years...seems to me, you don't think great coaches have those.
Petrino...is a great offensive mind, has baggage and leaves folks in the lurch. Plus, he' never won a championship. Just a matter of time before he bolts again.
I'll stick to my assessment, as wrong as it may be, but it is supported by long term results...not just flashes in the pan.
It's way beyond the question of whether CBJ would let him back on the team. If the Sunday night meeting went anywhere close to the description, he lost the trust of his teammates. Do we think that they could just have a big group hug and pick up as if nothing happened?
Forgiveness is great, but some things spoken can't be unheard. :dunno:
What I mean is, I just have a hard time believing Butch flat out lied. Even though that's what it looks like.
It's just all strange to me.:dunno:
Yeah, I don't necessarily think Jones lied either but he may have left something open to being misconstrued by Hurd.
I have asked several times this season why they haven't been running it more though before the Hurd blow up though. Seems they would be willing to try anything as shoddy as this offense has looked at times.
Who knows. It's done and over now with Hurd and they don't seem interested in running anything close an I formation or downhill running game.
