JerQauri Schofield

He gave the visit an 8 out of 10 in another article and was told hes an over sign guy, i dont think Clemson is an issue.

Is this kid really that great? Clemson and us are the only two with offers even on the table. That just seems odd.

hes considered a major sleeper and was the most impressive player at the carolinas all star game, turned alot of heads

So to answer you, yes.

He's gonna be pretty good. He had no offers from big schools until we offered him. He's a diamond in the rough IMO.

I'm not doubting you, but wouldn't you think that if he turned a lot of heads, then he would have a few more offers? Such as South Carolina, North Carolina, other SEC schools, etc...?

After the Shrine Bowl he got alot of interest from Clemson and USCe. I'm pretty sure a few more schools gave him a call but he had been solid to UT for a while and I bet they figured it was kinda late to get in.

I think he kinda shut down a couple of schools but was waiting for some interest from Clemson.

In the end I really feel like he is a Vol. He was discovered at a UT camp and we got in early on him. I think he appreciated that.

and FWIW, he is expected to rise to at least a 3 star and maybe a 4 star before its all said and done.

I was just going off what the author of an article on Scout was saying.

He said that his stock has exploded upwards and that his rating is sure to rise.

The Clemson radio guys here said his visit was really good and Clemson thinks they have him. Apparently can play early at Clem.

I think UT is fortunate we get the last visit. I would expect he'll be a Vol after his visit.

I know it's just speculation but this is exactly what I was talking about when I asked why he was going if he claimed he was "all-Vol"...

Man, This kind of crap is getting annoying....I can't wait for the end of this recruiting season!!!

"It's pretty much even between Clemson and Tennessee," Schofield told Tigerillustrated.com Sunday afternoon.

"Coach (Dabo) Swinney told me today that he felt I'd be a great fit for their program," said Schofield.

"I'd give the whole visit an 8 on a scale of 1-10," Schofield said. "Jamarcus Grant was my host. I liked him. He's real down-to-Earth."

"I have to check it out," Schofield said, referring to his forthcoming trip to Rocky Top. "I am going to make a final decision after that trip."

Does anyone else think Schofield would have gotten any big offers if UT hadn't opened the doors for him? I have my doubts. I think he should remember that and stick with the first big school that offered him and decided to give him a chance. :)

I heard, from Chris Ard(Tiger Illustrated.com) today that Clemson feels this guy is one of those guys that will help them obtain a top 25 class. They are really after him.

He is another guy that is getting alot of pressure to stay at home.

Tennessee has been recruiting him longer and harder than anyone else, but it will be hard for him to refuse the instate combination of Sweeney and Steele (two of the best recruiters in the country).

Does anyone think Sweeney will survive 5 years there?

He is either going to be the next Ron Zook or the next Phil Fulmer. Time will tell, I just don't see him taking that program to the next level.

I just love it...

Pre-Clemson trip..."I'm all-Vol...UT has nothing to worry about"

Post-Clemson trip..."It's pretty much even between Clemson and UT now"

That's a Nick Saban-esque type of turn around

Well if anything, this tells me that he gets excited and jumps the gun. So I feel confident since we get our visit after Clemson and have a chance to answer any questions that Clemson put in his mind about UT.
