• Clemson is apparently making a strong push for JerQuari Schofield who has emerged as one of the biggest surprises on either team this week. Schofield is committed to Tennessee but will take a visit to see the Tigers on Jan. 9. But look for other teams to get involved now that the word is out on the big lineman.

"I liked coach Kiffin a lot, we had a good talk. He's a real energetic guy and I could definitely see myself playing for him," Schofield said of the Vols' new head coach. "He's an exciting guy. My visiting Clemson has nothing to do with him at all. I got a real good feeling from him."

Will take visit here sometime after the 9th of January.

Any chance Schofield gets bumped to a 4*?

I remember BJ Coleman was a 3 and then had an awesome all-star game and was bumped to a 4...

It would look good for our class if he is bumped...I think he stays with us...we may have found the answer to our Dline questions if him and Phillips are switched to DT

clemson is starving for bodies as well...they will throw everything at him...this weekend is a big recruiting weekend for him

kiffin visited schofield last night..hopefully he told him not to do anything stupid

He would be crazy to go anywhere else when he can go where Monte is. Unless of course he goes to the Baltimore Ravens or the TN Titans, that would not be crazy.

Visited Clemson, said it was really enjoyable and puts us and Clemson even. He still has to take his official to UT. Says he is still committed to UT even thought he puts the two schools even. I'm pretty sure he is a vol in the end.

So we go from "having nothing to worry about" to "being even"? Must have been a pretty awesome visit to Clemson...

Since UT was the first big school to offer him, and we never backed off even with the coaching change, I believe he feels committed to the school.
