Not trying to criticise JM at all, but I would think the time to put in the work to look like that would have been last year, following g his knee issues. He looks like he has lost 15-20 lbs of fat and gained 5-10 of muscle.

Very possible that his knees were still not 100% last year and he was unable to do the type of conditioning he is now doing...just a thought.

Maybe so on the knees, but it seems pretty typical that kids get in the best shape of their lives AFTER they decide to go pro. Something about money (and probably the extra time with no studies) focuses them to go way beyond the effort they put in during school. See it with guys every year. I'm always wondering, "why didn't (fill in the blank) add/lose the weight or bulk up/slim down/ work on his shooting when he was in school instead of waiting for the combine."

Well he was in college and let's be honest you don't put stuff in your body that's healthy during those years :)

Why would he be eating any different now as opposed to when they were really trying to get him in shape? He was a fifth year senior, I assume he has his own place and food. Jmo.
