Too bad. He would have been a pro-bowler this year. Bruschi was all over him in the pre-game and then Mayo's dumbass teammate stepped on his ankle while he was engaging a blocker.

Well that is terrible for Mayo, this was Def going to be his breakout year. Hopefully still can be.

Also big loss for the Pats, big reason the Bills were able to move the ball so well in the 2nd half. So thats good at least.

Dang! The Vols are already very thin at LB. I mean uh.

Patriots going down this year----Bills gave that 1 away.

Big loss for my Pats, he is the defensive team leader. Hopefully he can come back sooner. He is going to be a stud @ LB for the Patriots for a long time.

Yeah they were just talking about on ESPN how big of a deal it was for BB to take him as early as he did in the draft, and how good he was.

Michael Smith called Jerod Mayo a "perfect player". He said that he is a young Ray Lewis and that "he stays and watches film until he sees double."

He has "Franchise" written all over him

And has had it written all over him for some time. Yall are gonna call BS on me when I say this, but I promise on all things sacred that I'm not lying. First time I ever saw Mayo play, I turned to my buddy and told him "that guy is a first rounder." I didn't know the first thing about Mayo at that point -- I didn't even know his name. And, yes, my buddy rolled his eyes and said something to the effect of 'STFU, Vol homer.'

But that kind of agility on a man that large is not normal. You could tell right away Mayo was the real deal.

I was always confused at all the attention Laurinitis and Posluzny got and that Mayo didn't get any. Even after his Junior year he was considered a 2nd rounder until they saw him at the combine.
