Jermod McCoy predicted top 10

Heupel offense made Hyatt a draft pick though. When you weight 170 at wr in the nfl, you need to be elusive and twitchy. Hyatt is straight line speed.
Tillman was a starter in Cleveland until injury and had inconsistent young qbs. Josh Palmer has had a nice career. Neither he nor Tillman were pegged for NFL when drafted.

didn't say anything about recruiting HS kids to college. Post was about Brazzell not being drafted yet and possibly why. CJH's highest drafted WR is Hyatt. in 3 years he only has 36 catches for 470yards and no TDS in the NFL. At this point he is pretty much a bust. I hope Brazzell can have some success. Point is evidently many in the NFL don't think CJH offense and the skills his staff is coaching translates to the NFL. Hopefully Brazzell can break the trend. I think Brazzell is a great guy.
Tillman is injured often but he is a stud when he plays. Hyatt was a product of the system. Ran vertical seam routes against zones, posts and slants. Anthony Miller but 3 shelves down. Miller made multiple pro bowls and one all pro team.

It's funny that Hyatt is a Biletnikoff winner but not even a top 10 UT WR. He is absolutely a product of Heupel's system. Good for him

Tillman is good, but his last two years was CJH and his first 3 with cornbread. Like I said I really hope Brazzell can become more physical and become a really good NFL receiver. Its been way too long since UT had one

He had 8 catches in 3 years with Pruitt
64 catches first year with Heupel. Again another wr who wasn’t on nfl radar until playing for Heupel

At this point I wonder if McCoy could even pass an NFL physical. He did afterall run a 4.3 40 in his pro day. So he can currently move. But there must be more to this degenerative knee condition.

He plays a premium position and would be playing on a 3rd rd rookie contract. He certainly is worth a 3rd rd pick even if his knee were to give up on him as he approached 30 yrs old.

I have a theory that Kiper dos these rankings as a way to fuel viewership and a story line. Hard to believe he didn’t know about McCoy’s knee…just a theory.

Except everyone who does such rankings had him in a similar spot.

Read something interesting from one of the services. It seems that in their search for something against McCoy the powers that be decided that they don't like the fact he didn't push to get on the field last year, even if just for a couple of games at the end of season. They assert it shows a "lack of love for the game."

Wonder how many of these guys picked the wrong management team.

Maybe I got confused by some of the wording, but wasn’t he suggesting he trying to play another year in college after the surgery?

I'm not trying to sound curt, but no one in my post did I mention playing for the Vols or Heupel.

He could get an extra year to work on his health. If he didn't finish his degree or could go to grad school it would be the best time to do it.

Then next year enter the draft again after a bullish year of training.

It’s been said several times and Ian Rappaport answered one of the questions from the guys on NFL network. It has nothing to do with his ACL injury. Hes already proven that healed at his pro day. It’s the belief that he will need a future knee surgery to replace a bone plug for a cartilage defect.

Yesterday it was said on NFL network that it’s unknown how long before he would need a surgery. Would it be needed before the end of this upcoming season? 2 years? Could he make it through his initial contract? It’s unknown. And the recovery time is about a year.

Finally a post from someone on this board that knows what the hell the situation is regarding McCoy.

I think this has more to do with it than anyone wants to admit IMO. The Bone plug is normal operation in the NFL according to 104.5 the zone Ramon Foster. So why hasn't he been drafted? He is a top talent that chose to stay on the sideline last year even after cleared which I get he did not want to risk injury for the NFL but it shows character issues again just what I think but who knows.

I'm not certain if you were implying it, but Josh Palmer didn't play for Heupel.

Nothing to do with character.

He “chose” to stay on bench after trying to come back too early and having swelling and instability in the knee.

I hope this is something Heupel can use as a tool to keep kids from copping out and trying for the NFL. You don't want to be another Jermod McCoy do you?
