Jeremy Pruitt Show

I may be wrong and probably am, but I just think that Pruitt just isn't into all the extra stuff like the coaches show and things like that. He's just a down to earth football coach who just wants to coach football.
truth is...ALL of these things/appearances are mandatory in his contract. Including going out to Calhoun's on Wednesdays and watching BBQ sauce drip from Kesling's chin...

I like Coach Pruitt and support him but i told my dad that answer reminded me of what Lame Kiffin would have probably said in 2009. Lame Kiffin didn't give a damn about Tennessee traditions.

I'm hoping he doesn't really care about traditions because traditions mean nothing if you can't win a ballgame.

I know it's all part of his contract wasn't disputing that, just saying that he just isn't big on it and just wants to coach football.

True but he will do them and like Saban get more comfortable over time. But I like having a coach that would rather be coaching no doubt. GBO!!!!!!!

Ok, so the line about running through the T bothers me to my core.

There are people around the world that would love to experience that. This dude is making $4,000,000 a year to run through it.

Next time that question gets asked, the answer better be along the lines of “it’s like having an orgas...” well, you get it.

He may very well win 153 games at UT, but he needs to work on that personality.

I’m sure that running through the “T” will be more intense for him in bigger ball games, like when Florida comes to town...

It's extremely rare to have a run of homegrown coaches that we had with Majors and Fulmer. 33yrs of VFL's leading the charge. We were lucky. Pruitt is a little rough around the edges but this program has gotten so soft his attitude is likely needed. The traditions are great but they dont win ballgames.

I mean, to use the word “different”?!?

He could have used the word “special” and been fine. But when/if he bolts, we’ll all look back on JP Show #2 and say the writing was on the wall.

Nope its not... Have searched repeatedly for Coach Jeremy Pruitt, Volunteers, Tennessee football, et al... It is on local stations in Tenn. and not on DirectTV listings in NC. Last year it was on Fox Sports South on Sunday AM but no joy this year. Gonna have to watch it online on Sunday Nights.

Direct TV had Face the Nation on the guide for 11am in the Tri cities but the JP show was actually on at 11. It was listed as something else last was but again the JP show was on.

Face the nation would be one of the network channels wouldn't it? I know I found various network stations around Tennessee (including Tri cities) but nothing in Central North Carolina where I live. No worries, by the time I drove back home from East Tn today the UTsports site had the recorded feed up.

Wouldn't really need to Bolt if he is consistently winning. Saban isn't retiring anytime soon.

Until he starts winning all the games, running through the T won't even register. Right now he is trying to figure out how the D line is going to stop Georgia, and he has't found an answer. Outside of a ball control offense that makes every third down play.

He wins 153 games and he can have any attitude he damn well pleases

Meh, if he consistently wins in the SEC, I doubt a lot our fanbase will care about what Pruitt thinks.

I understand where you’re coming from but it’s nothing to get worked up over.

Nick Saban probably gives two sh*ts about his own fanbase but he wins football games.

Just win!

Yeah I agree his emphasis is elsewhere... he cares more about who's running through our O-line right now than him running through the T.

Exactly.

This is part of being a head coach in a big program, especially when it’s you first HCing gig. I would think that if a coach wins on a consistent basis, he could refine his contractual obligations more to his own liking as time goes by.

Even Saban still does the weekly call in shows and stuff. He's not gonna get out of it. Have to sell your program, both to the recruits and the fans who financially support the $100M business.

It was channel 11 here (Local CBS affiliate). I’m sure it’s hard to find on TV outside Tennessee. Glad you found a recording at least.

I've never seen a head coach appear nearly as bored as Pruitt in the post ETSU interview with Kessling. Many of the above comments ring true, but added in the mix, I think, was Pruitt's inability to feel an iota of pride or excitement about beating a team so weak. His intensity coaching during the game is another matter. Coach wanted the players to do well. There is no doubt about that. But the game seemed to have little or no more importance to him than a scrimmage. Maybe Pruitt will get a little puffed up if the team wins against a ranked team. He's obviously a long way from being satisfied.

It looks like Coach really hates doing this show, and has zero interest in doing it. It’s kind of shocking how apathetic he appears.

Also I think Pruitt can’t stand Bob... at one point Coach was staring off into space and im not sure that he realized where he was at....

Then at the end Bob said “we’ll see you here next week”, and Pruitt hesitated and just stared at Bob and said “Gotcha.” Dripping with sarcasm..... hilarious!!!
