Jeremy Pruitt on Jauan Jennings

Hard for me to judge a kid that misbehaves, acts up, or makes a bad decision. I have done all of the listed, and my kids have done all of the listed.

I am glad he is Vol I love the way he plays the game.

Best darn Jennings post I've seen the past two years. I mean it. I have a hate for any and all holier than down criticism of our players. Jennings got a lot of that after his rant and some before. Like everyone else here, I had no idea what had set him off. But I did know it wasn't without cause and something he really cared about had been stepped on and grounded into a powder. No, I didn't like his mouth any more than a lot of others. But I did what you did, stevenrich, I didn't judge him. I too have reached a level of frustration due to what I believed/knew was horse dung being passed as coconut-chocolate cake. A level where I blew all my fuses, the gaskets, and popped the rivets.

I was playing golf with a dad of a former O lineman who is close friends with JJ. The father shared with me that his son told him he would always pick JJ first on any pick-up game because JJ is a competitor and a winner and is ultra competitive. He just has a fire in his belly that can't be coached. I love how he gets in the DB's head and is extremely physical when blocking. He's one of the best blocking receivers we've had in a long time, not to mention the guy you want to get the ball when the game is on the line. I'm a huge JJ fan and hope he has an unbelievable year.

JJ may not have explosive athletic ability but he's a great player to have in the rotation. He's going to push guys in practice, block like a bull, and fight like hell when he gets a chance to make a play. I'd love to see to see him put up 600+ yards this season but even if he doesn't you can bet he's making a big impact in ways that don't show up on the stat sheet.

He NEEDS the rock in his hands more this year. We need him to get the rock often.

I like the idea but there seems to be a big problem with him getting more targets, he’s the best blocking WR on the team when healthy. The team will score more TDs if the ball goes to a speedy receiver with Jennings blocking out a safety or DB than the other way around.

Considering JJ's ability to fight for the ball, juke DBs, and fight for yardage, you might be taking the narrow view. We've seen him win.

I was "wait and see" on him after his meltdown. Well, I waited and I like what I am seeing. Don't know the details of his program to be restored and don't need to. Just pleased that he buckled down and did the work. Can't wait to see him break a few more ankles.
EXACTLY..!!

Guys that meltdown give a ****.
It was really that inept when Butch was there. I don’t think he would have done that except for the fact that it was so obviously f’ed up. He’ll, I’m grateful he put it out there like that.
