I don`t want to bash our team and coaches. On the other hand, I am sick of all the coach speak. We have heard all this crap for years, over and over.
Lets see some wins against quality opponents for a change.
TN fans have a lot of pride. We are sick and tired of being at the bottom of the barrel.
That is something we're not going to see this summer

I get exactly what you are saying here. Spurrier used to call it “Talking Season”. I am with you on this. Every fall camp we see these videos and the hype about guys looking good. I am tampering my excitement this year until I see it on the field. I’ve been burned too many times getting enthused by Talking Season.
Not me. It’s gonna be bad enough if we lose so why start now being bummed out.

It's becoming more and more evident that we have a leader at the helm rather an marketer (Butch) or personality (Dooley). The future is bright orange, and I for one am excited about it.

It's so nice to actually hear a coach you can tell knows something about football!
It's so nice not to hear "You know we have a lot of individuals who have shown a lot of consistency, we just need to work on our resiliency and having a snap and clear mindset, were gon' get there brick by brick."

Sorry dude, you just did. Like you were alluding to, we will see on field and hopefully see better than what we have been promised time and time again.

Everyone says the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I have learned that the Vols are great at marketing. I am all Vol, but after 10+ years of the same thing every summer (hype videos and opinions of how great certain players are looking tackling their teammates), maybe I a bit jaded, but I am learning to not set myself up for the same disappointment. I am excited to see improvement in effort and toughness but also very realistic that this will take time.

That’s fair using that definition for insanity, but what are we doing the same as last year? New AD, new HC and staff, and new schemes on both sides of the ball.

If Currie was still AD and Butch was still HC, it would be fair to pump the brakes.

You have 3 weeks to jump on the Vol band wagon. After we blast WV the train will be moving too fast to catch. So don’t miss the boat. Take off is T minus 3 weeks +.
